He is playful, energetic and kind. He’s always so happy and when he meets new people he will lean into you for extra back scratches. He longs for your attention and loves his treats. He is housebroken, leash and crate trained, he’s just about perfect. Oreo is a big teddy bear, he will make everyday better, all he is missing is his own family. Oreo is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com

Story
Available in TX only! Meet Max Cooper, a captivating white pup with soulful eyes that speak volumes despite his deafness. While he can't hear, he's mastered the art of being a joyful canine companion. Max exudes energy and affection, enjoying walks and playtime, especially his favorite pastime: fetch. Despite his disability, he embraces life with enthusiasm, embodying resilience and love. Max thrives on human interaction, craving a caring companion to share adventures with. He's an adventurous spirit who adores riding in cars and exploring new places. Yet, Max is also a devoted cuddler, content to keep you company on the couch, his gentle nature shining through in every snuggle session. His harmonious interactions extend to both humans and fellow furry friends, often seen frolicking with playful puppies. Max is a testament to the indomitable spirit of rescue dogs, proving that love knows no bounds, and every pup deserves a chance to find their forever home. We do recommend a home without young children due to his special needs. Max has not been cat tested, but we know he loves dogs! He is microchipped, fully vaccinated, & neutered. He is being fostered in Seguin, TX and is ready for his new home. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Buddy, the charismatic rescue pitbull who has captured the hearts of everyone he meets. This fun-loving canine companion is a true embodiment of joy, with a passion for cuddles, kisses, and hugs that is simply infectious. Despite a previous setback due to ACL surgery, Buddy's enthusiasm for life remains undiminished, although he now enjoys the great outdoors at a slightly gentler pace. Buddy is not just a pet; he's a family member. He's kennel trained, making him not only adorable but also well-behaved. While he is incredibly friendly with other dogs, a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a smooth introduction. Unfortunately, Buddy isn't a fan of feline friends, so a cat-free environment would be ideal. In addition to his social prowess, Buddy is house trained, making him the perfect companion for any home. His playful spirit shines through when he's engaged in a game of fetch or with a rope toy - his tail wagging with unmatched enthusiasm. But perhaps Buddy's favorite pastime is basking in the sun, a simple pleasure that brings him immense contentment. With his resilience, affectionate nature, and zest for life, Buddy is more than a pet; he's a source of endless love and happiness, waiting to bring sunshine into the lives of his forever family.

Story
Pebbles is a wonderful girl, 4 years old. She is 55 lbs. She has lived with kids and small dogs but she was too high energy for the smaller dogs to play with her. A dog closer to her size to play might be a good fit. She has not lived with cats and she has too much energy for them anyway. She will follow you around, loves people and loves to lay on the couch and sleep with you. She loves kids but can knock them down in her excitement. Due to her energy, she needs a fenced in yard and someone that is home often to let her out and spend time with her. This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email adoptions@ctcatconnection.org with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Please consider fostering a cat or dog by applying on our website.A cat's behavior in the shelter is usually not what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat.Kitten Policy: It is important to understand that the socialization of kittens with other animals as playmates is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/

Story
Farrah is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet!! Such a gentle soul and loves everyone! She showed up at a resident and they took care of her until rescue could take her. She is ready to travel to her new home. Farrah gets along great with all dogs and just loves all the foster puppies at her foster mom's home. She walks great on a leash and would make a great running/walking buddy. She also loves to just snuggle with her human in the cool air conditioning. We don't know her breed, but she resembles a chocolate lab mix and possibly a Staffordshire Terrier. A DNA test would be interesting. Farrah didn't get to start her life out very well as we don't know how she got the scars on her forehead where hair doesn't grow very good there. She also has some missing teeth on her lower left jaw but this doesn't take away from her beauty at all!! We do know that she is a sweet and soulful girl that would make the perfect pet for the family looking for a chilled dog that just loves to show her gratitude for being alive. Go ahead and apply to adopt this beautiful girl. She is ready to have her forever home!! Farrah is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested positive for heartworms, BUT has received her treatments and is ready to travel. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
