Capone is a fully vetted, Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. He recently completed treatment for heartworms, and received the "all clear" from the vet. Capone is very friendly with people, and has done well with all dogs we have introduced home to, since joining our rescue, though he has had no exposure to cats. Capone is approximately 3 yrs old, playful, and now healthy! ****Capone is currently in foster care in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged**** If interested in adopting Capone, please fill out our adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org

Story
Luna is a fun loving, high energy, sweet girl. She lives running and playing as much as she loves nuzzling up in your lap. The problem is that our family travels a significant amount and just can't give Luna the active lifestyle she needs to thrive.

Story
Hello! My name is Mama and my foster parents say I have the cutest personality and sweetest face. Do you love dark chocolate? If so, you’ll love me because I have the shiniest dark chocolate fur. I also have the prettiest white fur on my chest. As my foster mom says… I am just the prettiest girl! Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am the biggest love bug. I love to follow my foster parents around hoping that they’ll stop whatever they’re doing to give me a hug. I am really good with all kinds of dogs. When I was in the shelter I used to be the “greeter” dog. My job was to make the newcomers feel comfortable. I hear all of the time how very smart I am. I learned how to use the dog door on my first day. I know I can learn more if you have the time to train me. I also know that I am supposed to go potty outside, and I never complain... even when I’m in my crate. I love living in Colorado and can’t wait until I find my own family. One look into my cute brown eyes and I hope you’ll want to love me forever. I know that I will love you forever. If you would like to meet me, please feel out an application at https://www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions  ##2208629##

Story
Meet Puddin, a sweet and shy girl who came to us from a shelter in Houston, Texas, where she was surrendered with severe mange as a puppy. After months of love and care, Puddin is doing much better but still takes time to warm up in new or public settings. She’s dog-driven and would thrive in a home with another confident dog to help show her the ropes. Puddin is a cuddle bug with her foster mom and enjoys quiet time at home. After more than 6 months in rescue, she’s ready to find a forever family who can give her the patience and love she needs. Could that be you? Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  **Dogs in a foster home will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets. ** ##2066375##

Story
Sweet, affectionate, and playful Mocha needs a family! She was rescued 2 years ago from a kill shelter after being dumped in a rural area and has been in my care! Mocha is about 4-5 years old, super friendly, and a love bug! She is great with humans, and she is good with other dogs. She does have a high prey drive and would need an experienced confident owner to handle her. She is very social and would do good with a family, or active owner. She loves to run around and play, but she is also very, very content just hanging out, cuddling, or lying in the sun. She’s good on walks, at the dog park, playing in the creek, or on road trips. She acts like a puppy! If you're looking for a beautiful, loving American Staffordshire, she could be your girl!  Contact defrancia.c@gmail.com 720.272.0776     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. November 6, 2024, 12:43 pm

Story
Earning 11-month-old Petunia’s trust takes time and patience. This shy 26-pound black beauty is slowly adjusting to the safety of her foster home and remains a bit reserved as she gets used to her new surroundings. Naturally sweet, Petunia has begun to enjoy cuddling with her foster dad and is becoming more comfortable with being picked up, finding it more pleasurable each day. Her favorite activity, though, is playing with her doggy foster siblings of various sizes and ages, especially enjoying backyard playtime with one in particular. Although she likes going for walks, Petunia is still gaining confidence with her harness and leash. She pays little attention to the resident cats and has a soft spot for dog biscuits. While she hasn’t yet learned any commands, she’s motivated by food and affection, is crated only for mealtime, and is working hard on her house-training. To truly help Petunia blossom, she needs a nurturing home with patient adopters and older children who can help build her confidence, continue her socialization, and guide her through training, including learning commands. With the right care, Petunia is sure to thrive and live her best life. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
