Once she gets used to other dogs, she really loves playing with them. She would love to find a forever family that is active and willing to teach her how to go on walks and play in the park like a young lady. She is great with kids and babies. She is a lover and wants to cuddle at night. December 9, 2024, 2:05 pm

Rambo is a 3 year old Staffy mix. Rambo is a sweet silly guy who loves to go on adventures in the car and cuddle up with you. Rambo is up to date on all vaccinations and is working on manners. Rambo loves meeting new people, but struggles with other dogs and cats. He is not aggressive towards other dogs but doesn't like to play. He is a silly goofy little boy that loves to hang out all day, even on your coffee trip (with a little pup cup fun)! You would not be disappointed with Rambo as your best friend. He just wants give everyone some love! Rambo would do best in a home but is also comfortable in condo/apartment living. He is fully house trained and will let you know when it's time to go out. He LOVES car rides and could do well with someone on the road a lot. He must be the only animal in the house. He is very easy to train as he is very loyal to his people.

Story
Hello, I'm Chatter! A name that suits me to a T, because I love to chat. I'm a sweet, friendly, curious, funny, and smart pooch. I'm a quick learner, you see. I seem to get along good with cats and other dogs. I'm a good boy who likes car rides and is potty-trained. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll keep you entertained with my chatty antics, then I'm your guy! If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to info@polkcountyhumanesociety.org. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2017631##

Story
Red Fern Friends, we desperately need your help This Senior girl is Miss Carmen She arrived in Colorado so long ago looking for her chance at redemption; for a loving human to help build her confidence and to know that she is safe and no one will hurt her.  Carmen has spent the majority of her life in BOARDING instead of a home 5 to 6 years with at least 2 years homeless. It breaks our hearts that we are STILL looking for this sweet senior her human. She had a foster to adopt for a few months recently that due to no fault of Carmen’s returned her due to unexpected life changes and not being capable to care for her.  Talk about heart shattering to try to explain to this sweet girl that our high hopes of her forever spot were no more after waiting so long.  Carmen NEEDS a Dedicated Foster to ADOPT. She will do best in a calm home environment with structure and love. No other dogs, cats, or children. She is fully vetted and current on all shots. All supplies can be provided to get going with fostering to ADOPT this sweet soul.  Please, help us with our underdogs that have been overlooked. There are no bad dogs, but there are to many that have been let down by humans and that is our Carmen. Boarding is anywhere from $35.00 a day and upwards from there. Boarding is not meant to be a permanent solution because the dogs do not thrive rather, they regress in heartbreak.  She needs her missing puzzle piece and I just know they are out there looking for her too.  Redfernanimalrescue.org/adopt #Fortheloveofcarmen#Seniordogsrule ##1853279##
