Story
Bowie seemed like a good fit for our home when adopted - very calm and uninterested in our current dog. We did not know he was on anxiety meds until after signing. Getting him home, we soon realized he was not as chill as we were led to believe. For the next 6 months we have done our best to help Bowie fit in, but things are not working. Bowie loves to play. He constantly wants to play with our other dog, who does not want to play and is constantly growling at him. Bowie is submissive towards him but does not take hints. Bowie is fear aggressive towards men but will warm up with time. He makes for a good guard dog, always barking at intruders. He really loves women. Bowie would do best in a home with someone who is active or has a large yard with another active dog. He loves to be outside. Bowie loves food, hates water, and does like chilling on the couch after playing. He is neutered, up-to-date on shots, has meds for the next year and will come with food, crate, and toys.

Story
Lady is 5 years old. I adopted her from Gridley, CA when she was a puppy with my ex-husband at the time. I am looking to rehome her because I am currently a full time college student in graduate school obtaining my doctorates. After my separation with my ex-husband, it became difficult to care for Lady on my own. My father, who was looking out for her while I am in school went through surgery recently. Due to his condition and old age, he is no longer able to take care of her. My schedule does not allow me to give Lady enough time to care for her, that she wholeheartedly deserves. She is a wonderful and loving dog. She listens well and easily warms up to people.

Story
Adopting Calvin, a three-year-old male black Staffordshire Bull Terrier, gives him a fresh start and a loving home where he can thrive. As a young adult, Calvin is likely to have a lot of energy and affection to offer, making him a great companion. By choosing adoption, you help reduce the shelter's burden and provide a second chance to a dog in need. Calvin’s maturity means you’re getting a well-adjusted dog who’s beyond the puppy stage but still playful and eager to please. Bringing Calvin into your home not only enriches his life but also adds a loyal and loving friend to your own.           All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
