Story
Hello! My name is Kali, like California, and I am looking for my forever family. As my name entails, I am a true California girl- I love cruising in the car, and playing around in the sun. I am currently with a foster family who took me and my 7 puppies in from the shelter as we were at risk of being euthanized! Luckily, our fosters stepped up and have been taking great care of us while we each find our forever homes. Besides being a mom, I am a 6 year old girl who is ready to be loved and settle into a family as I have been through quite a lot in recent months. I am eager to meet my new humans so that we can play and go for drives as I am quite the passenger princess Does that sound like fun to you too? Then you know where to find me!

Story
DOG AND CAT AND KID FRIENDLY POCKET PITTIE ALERT Beckham is one super cool little dude. Weighing a whopping 42lbs this sexy beast has every reason to fear people yet seeks constant approval and affection. After being "kicked out" by a reported owner and running in fear and trying to survive for several months he was humanely trapped. While running, he was hit by a car, stayed aloof and ran from people. Once trapped it was immediately clear this sensitive soul just wanted to be loved and feel safe. We fixed his hip and started getting to know him. Sadly, some of his behavior indicates someone was not nice to him so he is afraid of things held by hand, terrified of mops and brooms and really struggles with men. Male volunteers love him and with a slow approach Beckham returns the favor. He will need someone to help him navigate his new world with patience, love and kindness. He is Dog social, absolutely silly, loves treats and is super easy to work with. He will entertain you daily with his poses, head tilts, silent woofs and eagerness to love you. Because of his flight risk and his speed, we recommend kids 8 and up to ensure he doesn't squeeze out a front door or gate.  ##2163346##

Story
Blue is a smart, non aggressive, eager to please 9mth old Staff Terrier. He is relatively house trained but not completely. He is great with kids, other dogs, and is so very intelligent. He is not chipped, I do not have any records for him, and he is not fixed. His human disappeared and so I am not able to confirm any additional info.

Story
Trixie is a wonderful dog who has waited patiently for her forever home!! She has great tenacity and strength which helped her overcome despair while pregnant and abandoned on the streets; FHSTJ rescued her in 2022. Trixie would thrive in a home where she has a dog companion who can match her energy level and playfulness. Having a canine buddy her size can provide her with companionship and plenty of opportunities for fun and exercise. Trixie is a Staffordshire bull terrier, around 5 years of age, spayed and fully vaccinated. Staffies are typically friendly, sociable, good-natured dogs—despite their muscular appearance. They often love being around people and can make great family pets. Staffy dogs can be excellent with children but proper training is encouraged. Trixie has a lot of love to give and longs for a family who can provide her with the affection and attention she craves. She deserves a warm and loving home where she can feel cherished as a member of the family!!!

Message for details:This pet is available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt him, please call us at 619 299 7012 or email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number so you and Floppy can meetHow Floppy arrived: Floppy was brought in by a our Humane Law Enforcement. Floppy has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for his new home! Maybe that home could be your home?? Why Floppy might be the one for you:Floppy is doing so well in foster that he is now ready to graduate to his new home. He is crate trained. He is excellent walking loose leash without getting distracted unless he meets someone he wants to greet and that happens often. Our foster has done the heavy lifting of getting Floppy ready for his new home and will be glad to discuss what she has done to help and train Floppy. You can now reap those benefits and continue with Floppy's training. Floppy would do best in a home with no other pets. Give him a yard for playing with his toys and/or lots of walks through his quiet neighborhood and Floppy is happiest. Floppy's love for treats makes him a quick learner for new tricks and manners. His friendly nature and eagerness to learn make him a wonderful companion. Reach out to us and we will arrange for you to meet Floppy. He hopes that he will go home with you. He wants to show you what a good dog he has become. He is so proud of himself and we are proud of him. We think you will be smitten by Floppy so bring a leash so you can go home together, so please bring a leash. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 62 Age: 7yrs 10mths 2wks
