Story
Hello!! My name is Annabelle. Here is some information about me: Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix  Age: 1 year  Gender: Female Weight: 35 lbs Height: 15 inches  Rescue Story:  Before I came to live with my foster family in Austin I was found as a stray by my vet. While they tried to locate my owners, sadly no one came forward. Temperament Info:  Although I am high energy, I am gentle with my trusted humans and other dogs, am eager to please, and love to cuddle.  I am a very loving, energetic, social, and intelligent dog.  When I play with humans I may bark out of excitement-- other than that my foster family rarely hear me bark. I am very smart and have picked up on training commands quickly! I am keen to learn new things, motivated by treats and praise. I love playing with other dogs and chewing on Nlyabones/Kongs. Best home:  My ideal home is one where humans can provide me with adequate exercise, mental stimulation, and the time to build a loving connection. As I did not have much attention in my previous life, I now want to be close to my human(s) whenever possible-- I have even been known to sometimes *gently* sit on people in order to be as close as I physically can to them!!  What can I say-- I love all this new attention! I have no food or toy aggression and I love my crate! I eat my meals and sleep in it.  Overall I am a small, loving, goofy and energetic girl! Do you have space in your heart for me? Energy Level: High I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Yes (however, I want to play with them, which they may not be on board with) Kids: Yes (no toddlers though as I am high energy and could overpower them) Prey Drive: Unknown/none observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours should they arise.  Fears: Unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.  Training: My foster parent is currently working on training with me and has trained me in: Sit Stay Down Stay  Come Place command (bed), until released Crate command, until released Impulse control: I will sit and wait to be released to and from outside. I wait to be released to eat food as well.  Leash trained: not fully but I still do well naturally on a leash, I just need a bit more training! I am good with boundaries. I know I’m not allowed in the kitchen, on the couch or bed until I am invited to do so.  I am house and crate trained! Health Notes: I am proud to be a healthy pup! Though I arrived at my foster family's home a tad underweight, I am currently maintaining a healthy weight. I received surgery for a cherry eye which is still a little red, but does not bother me.  I have been spayed and I am up to date on all vaccines and I am microchipped.  Video link: Craft time with Annabelle. https://youtu.be/lmARUR1BU-M Video link: Annabelle's training.  Such a smart pup https://youtu.be/ebRgkxhkEbA Video link: Annabelle outside https://youtu.be/vR9eU-iiZas Video link: Annabelle playing with human brother https://youtu.be/wZkLXWrsRLI My adoption fee is $800 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.  Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1835236##

Story
Hello Tony! This handsome guy is ready for adoption Are all gorgeous brindle boys this happy? That has been our experience! And Tony is no exception - he is both gorgeous and full of happiness! With his smooth, tawny coat, his lovely honey-colored eyes, and his joyful demeanor, this dog is a total love bug. Tony is 3 years old and weighs ~60 lbs. He appears to be a mix of Saint Miguel Cattle Dog & Staffy terrier.  His name derives from "priceless," and we think it's spot-on! Tony is very good on leash, and is gentle even when he jumps up for attention - he is a solid boy but doesn't seem at all big or overwhelming. Hmm, perhaps he's studying to be a magician? Whatever he's doing, it's working! Tony is playful with toys and is very attentive to humans, preferring a personal touch and ear scratch from his favorite person, which happens to be whoever he's with at the time. Tony is a non-discriminatory lover of all! This priceless guy is yours for the taking, if you are so lucky as to choose him! VETTING: Fully vaccinated Neutered SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma) Flea/tick/heartworm prevention No known medical issues or injuries PLEASE NOTE: Tony is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC. This will be discussed upon approval. ##2116452##
