Hi there, I'm Appa! I'm the most derpy, happy, sweet, ornery, big boy! Sometimes my fur grows out and I'm the fluffiest boy but right now its short because my mom has been really sick and cant take care of me like she used to. She needs to go overseas for treatment and that's why I'm here. I'm 3/4 St Bernard and 1/4 poodle, and weigh in at a svelte 135lbs. I have a sister I am bonded to, her name is Momo and she is my very best friend. We cant wait for our next big adventure together! As a younger pup I failed out of service dog training for being too friendly! I know some standard commands, sit, lay, leave it, drop it, kennel, heel, stop, sniff, and no! I walk nicely on a lead and I love my Sprenger which I associate with walks. I am very enthusiastic and want to make people happy but sometimes don't have the awareness of my body to make it do things. I am very clumsy but I'm okay with it! I don't fetch but I love to run after a ball. I'm a great nanny & love kittens.

Bahia had been living on the street alongside two of our other residents, Pony and Blackie, for 11 months. We received all three dogs from a local shelter and immediately went into action for medical care and socialization. Bahia arrived timid and scared but positively progressed within only a few weeks. In the beginning, she was shy and reserved, but now she will walk up to you with a cute little tail wag. Once comfortable with you, Bahia enjoys head scratches! Do be warned that she might drool a little when she receives said head scratches.
