Story
***This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas*** If you are on the search for a gentle giant then look no further! Bahia had been living on the street alongside two of our other residents, Pony and Blackie, for 11 months. We received all three dogs from a local shelter and immediately went into action for medical care and socialization. Bahia arrived timid and scared but positively progressed within only a few weeks. In the beginning, she was shy and reserved, but now she will walk up to you with a cute little tail wag. Once comfortable with you, Bahia enjoys head scratches! Do be warned that she might drool a little when she receives said head scratches. Bahia will need someone patient to help her fully open up into her gentle nature, will that someone be you? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
This beautiful soul has been on an incredible journey, enduring a challenging stay at the shelter, waiting and hoping for a loving forever home. Despite his stunning looks and heartwarming personality, Apollo remained overlooked for months. He's a dog who's seen the worst of it yet still holds onto hope and love. Finally liberated from the confines of the shelter, Apollo's enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. His heart is filled with joy, and he's ready to share that boundless affection with a family who sees the gem he truly is. Apollo's a big boy with an even bigger heart. He adores the company of other dogs and revels in playtime. However, he thrives on structure, guidance, and plenty of activity. Smart as a whip, Apollo's intelligence and quick learning skills will astound you. This sweet boy, at around 3 years old and weighing between 60-65lbs, deserves a home that matches his spirit—a place with experienced, loving humans who understand the needs of a larger dog like him. Living in Houston, Apollo has bravely battled heartworm, a common challenge in these parts. But fear not, Scout’s Honor is ensuring Apollo receives the best care. Whether you choose to adopt him now or after he's cleared, we'll continue covering his medical expenses, ensuring he gets the care he needs. He's a fighter and with your support, he'll come out stronger than ever. If your heart swells at the thought of giving Apollo the home he dreams of, please consider fostering or adopting him. Start the journey by filling out an application at www.scoutshonor.org. Your love and compassion could be the key to unlocking Apollo's happily ever after. Story
Rosa is about as sweet as she can be, loves to play, sleep, and get pets! She's timid when you first meet her, but once she's comfortable, she opens up. She is great with other dogs, young kids, and has been totally non-reactive to cats (or any other small animal we pass on our walks.) She would likely be fine living with cats, but has not had the opportunity. She sleeps in her crate at night, sleeps quietly when foster mom works from home, and although she whimpers a little bit when her foster mom leaves the house, she calms down and can stay alone for long periods with no issues. She occasionally will chew on some socks or a board book, but only when she's really excited, she has never been destructive when home alone. Since she loves other dogs and LOVES to play, would likely be the best fit with another playful dog in the home. She is currently being treated for heart worm, takes her medications with no problems, and is excellent at walking on a leash and is potty trained! She really is such a wonderful dog. Rosa is a female Anatolian Shepherd with an estimated DOB of 10/1/2022. She weighs 46 lbs.
