COLUMBIA, PA - HONEY - 8 MONTH OLD FEMALE SAINT MIX (lab). She is currently living at the Columbia Animal Hospital. They are caring for her, but no place for a puppy to live in a kennel for weeks. They want her to have a yard fenced in to run and play. Honey loves everyone. She is playful and jolly and is DYING TO GET OUT OF THE KENNEL. She is being treated well, but NO PLACE FOR A PUPPY TO BE OVER 21 HOURS A DAY IN A KENNEL. Begging for a good person to adopt or foster. FROM VET: This energetic girl is Honey. She was surrendered to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her. She is approximately 8months old, knows basic commands like sit & shake. She is spayed, vaccinated & microchipped. We believe she is a St. Bernard mix, she is heartworm & lyme negative. She has TONS of puppy energy, and we think she will need someone with a firm hand when it comes to training. HONEY would be great in a home that would love to have a Saint Bernard, but they are just too big etc. She is loving and wants to learn. Loved on and by the staff, but she needs OUT of the kennel and into a home.

Story
Meet Beethoven! This handsome boy came to PA to leave his old life behind and start fresh searching for a new family to call his own! Beethoven is a guesstimated 5yr old neutered male Saint Bernard mix weighing approximately 100 pounds (needs to gain weight). Beethoven loves people (big and small) and dogs however has not been cat tested. Beethoven has had a rough few months. Down south he was found with a bad injury to his paw (all healed now). He was neutered and treated for Heartworm. If surviving heartworm wasn’t hard enough he was diagnosed with IMHA last month and is fighting a good fight to get better. He’s currently on two medications and getting bloodwork completed weekly or as directed by his veterinarian. He has shown some resource guarding behavior. He is house and crate trained and up to date on current vaccines and preventatives. For now he will be patiently waiting for his new family in Dillsburg PA. Apply at  https://www.pack9rescue.org/applications/ New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.           https://www.facebook.com/PaCaringForK9s/ See upcoming events below where PA Caring for K9’s will be with some of our adoptable dogs!
