Story
The 154-pound giant - meet Moe! He is roughly 6 years old. He does not know how big he is and wants to be a lap dog so children will need to be old enough to not be offended by his size! He cannot live with cats. He is dog selective - he lived with a female dog before coming to the shelter, but he has had a hard time making new friends since. We are still willing to do any meet and greets with applicants that are interested. PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Meet Little Pea.Before wanting her based off her photo (we know she is cute) please read this full description due to her being sick and needing a special home. She is a mini bernedoodle mix. She’s just a puppy at almost 4 months old. Our friends at another rescue asked if we could take her due to her likely having health issues and the “breeder” couldn’t sell her as such. So, we said yes. Let’s give this little girl a chance at a life!Long story short; she has a liver shunt. Basically, blood bypasses her liver due to an abnormal connection. This means that her liver isn’t removing toxins or other byproducts. To start off; she needs a very specific diet. She is eating a food for liver issues and doing exceptionally well on it. If she were to eat any other dog food, human food, cat food, etc symptoms are severe and are scary to witness. She has seizures, loss of balance, etc. There is no room for error and this diet must be followed for Little Pea’s best interest. Our veterinarian will walk a potential foster to adopter through this medical condition and explain next steps, etc with an interested individual.Little Pea absolutely loves dogs, loves kids, and is good (but annoying) with cats.We feel there has to be someone out there willing to give Little Pea a chance at knowing what a home feels like ??PA Kennel License #1333
