Hey there, I’m Maggie Marie, but you can call me MaeMae (my humans do, and I love it). I’m 2 years old, a sweet, laid-back, 120lbs of pure love and fluff. I’m the type of gal who loves cuddles more than zoomies—though don’t worry, I still have my moments. But hey, I’m not one of those high-energy Saints. I mean, I’ve got the size and the name, but I’m more about that slow-and-steady vibe. I’m potty trained, kennel trained, and I know how to use the doggie door. I’m basically a Saint Bernard with a good head on my shoulders. I’m a lover, not a fighter, so I get along with all the other dogs, cats, and probably even the squirrels if they weren’t so squirrel-y around me. When I’m not playing with my doggie pals, I’m happily melting into a heap of fluffy cuddle puddles with my humans. Love me, pet me, scratch me—those are the only rules in my house. I know you are curious about how I ended up here. So, here’s a little bit about my past... I came to PPFT because my human was going through a divorce and couldn’t take me with her. It was a tough time for both of us, but now I am concentrating on my next big adventure—which hopefully includes you! Now, I may be 120lbs, but don’t let that scare you. I’m just a big, squishy gal with a heart to match my size. Expect me to accidentally knock things over as I try to gracefully enter a room (you’ll learn to move the vases). I might also think I’m a lap dog and try to squeeze onto your lap, only to realize halfway through that I don't quite fit. Oh, who I am kidding...of course I will fit! And speaking of big... I might need a bigger space to turn around. I’m like a majestic, fluffy freight train, so be prepared to occasionally navigate around my "wide load" when I’m lounging on the floor. You’ll get used to me casually stepping on your toes while walking past—I’m not trying to squash you, I just don't always quite understand just how much space I take up. ;) I’m ready to answer some of your burning questions now. First things first—would I do well with other dogs? Absolutely! I’m the friendly type and love hanging out with my doggie friends. I’m a social butterfly (well, a really big one), so whether it’s playtime or just lounging around, I’m all about the good vibes with other pups. But... would I be okay as the only dog? You bet! I mean, I’ll happily share the love with other dogs, but if you’re looking for a solo cuddle buddy, I’m all in. I’m perfectly content being the queen of my castle. Now, about cats. I hear some people say that Saint Bernards and cats don’t mix. But honestly? I’m pretty indifferent. My previous owner said I didn’t like them, but in my foster home, I’ve been totally chill. I don’t bother them, and they don’t bother me. As for kids? Oh, 100% yes! I’m super sweet and gentle, and I love being around the little humans. Now, public outings? Count me in! Whether it’s hitting up a cafe, strolling through the pet store, or hanging out for a social visit, I’m totally down for the adventure. I’m the kind of gal who’ll charm everyone with my gentle giant vibe and my sweet, loving nature. If there’s a crowd, I’ll bask in all the attention like the superstar I am (don't worry, I’m not too needy about it). But also, if a quiet day at home is more your style, I’m totally cool with that, too. I’m the perfect homebody. I’ll curl up on the couch, take a nap, and be your loyal sidekick while you binge-watch shows or work from home. I’m low-key like that, but I do enjoy being with you no matter where we are! I mean, why would I run after a ball when I could just watch it roll away, completely uninterested? I’d rather let the other dogs chase it and then give them a polite, “Good job, I’m proud of you,” while I take a well-deserved nap.
