Meet Zeus, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. This sweet and friendly dog has a knack for making anyone's day brighter. He's not just a bundle of joy, but also a smart companion who loves to play. Zeus has a mellow demeanor, and he's quite independent, able to entertain himself when you're busy. But when you're ready for cuddles, he's always game. His loyalty is unwavering, a true friend through thick and thin. Zeus's playful spirit, combined with his gentle and loyal nature, makes him the perfect addition to anyone looking for a loving, loyal, and playful companion. Story
Sammy is 3.5 years old and weighs about 53 lbs. He looks Saint Bernard ish, but is definitely NOT the size of one. His story is one that stays with you. He was a well-known street dog living near the beach in Durres, where both tourists and local volunteers fed him every day. He became a familiar, friendly face—one of those dogs everyone looked forward to seeing. Then one day, Sammy showed up with a painful burn on his face. After speaking with neighbors and nearby businesses, it’s believed someone threw a chemical on him. It’s the kind of cruelty that happens when a good, trusting dog crosses paths with the wrong person. Because the person responsible is still in that area, returning Sammy to the streets would mean putting him right back in danger. And yet, despite everything he’s been through, Sammy is still incredibly sweet. He loves people, gets along well with other dogs, and has even met children without any issues. He never lost that gentle, trusting nature. Thankfully, his eyes were not damaged, and his burn has healed beautifully—his fur is already growing back in. Sammy is the definition of resilience. He deserves a safe home where he will never have to wonder if he’s going to be hurt again—only loved.  March 29, 2026, 2:40 am

Birthdate:  11/07/2025Breed: One of a kindWeight:   Still growing!Meet Breezy!Breezy is a sweet girl with a beautiful coat and a gentle, thoughtful nature. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and prefers to let her sisters check out new situations first. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through and she happily joins in with her favorite toys. Breezy would thrive in a loving, patient home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to blossom into a confident companion. The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire . If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.March 29, 2026, 1:13 am

Story
Martha is a female Saint Bernard.Martha is a gentle giant of a lovebug. She is incredibly sweet, very social, and loves people. Her easy-going personality and patience makes her an excellent dog for just about anyone. Not surprising, food is one of her favorite things, as are going on long, rambling walks to get all her energy out. Given her size, she does need a lot of room to move around and a place outside to romp and play when she needs it. She is good on a leash, and really hopes you're headed some place fun where she get run around, like the dog park or maybe the rail trail. She enjoys affection and doesn't mind full-body rubs - she also isn't entirely aware of her size, and can bowl people over for affection if she isn't careful. This big, drooly girl hopes you have room in your heart for her! Martha would do well in a home other dogs, especially her sister Daisy. She would do well in a home with cats, and with older children due to her size.To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture.
