Story
MEET GIDGET! Age: 4 yearsBreed: Saint BernardWeight: 115 lbs Gidget is a gentle giant with a heart full of love! After being surrendered due to her previous owner's new responsibilities with twins, this sweet girl is looking for a new family who can appreciate her affectionate nature and playful spirit. At 4 years old, she is still young and vibrant, ready to bring joy and companionship to her new home. Gidget thrives in a calm, structured environment. Young children make her anxious, so she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children or with adults. An active family who can match her playful energy and handle her size is essential. Gidget has lived with other dogs, showcasing her friendly nature, but she has not yet been introduced to cats. Gidget is house and crate trained and knows commands like "sit" and "stay." She enjoys playing fetch and loves baths, making grooming a fun bonding experience. While she is a rough player, she also enjoys meeting new people and is always up for a car ride! It’s important to note that Gidget does pull on the leash during walks, so a harness may be beneficial for her outings. Regular exercise and mental stimulation will help keep her happy and healthy. As a Saint Bernard, Gidget will need regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition. She is looking for a loving, active home where she can feel safe and cherished. She is not a good fit for an apartment, mobile home or condo lifestyle as she will need room to stretch her legs.
