Rufus is STUNNING and he knows it! Everyone who meets Rufus instantly falls in love with his goofy personality and bear hugs. He does very well with kids and the two other dogs in his foster home. Rufus is learning basic obedience and leash walking and will need an owner committed to continuing his training. He is an intelligent boy with a side of large breed stubbornness! He loves to play with other active dogs but is known to chase a cat or two in his spare time. Rufus will require a yard to stretch his legs and an experienced adopter. This dog's adoption fee is $500. If you are viewing on PetFinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for Rufus, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org. DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Draco is a mix of St. Bernard/Lab/Foxhound/Boxer and others according to her Royal Canin DNA test available from her guardian.  3yo, weighs 70lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  "She's the sweetest dog and makes a great sidekick.  She can be placed with a dog if they do a meet and greet.  She is not fearful of anything according to her guardian.  She's at home 8hr/day in her crate, separated from the dog she doesn't get along with, but prior to that time, she had free roam of the home because she didn't chew anything.  Also, she sleeps in her crate at night.  She does very well during car rides. Draco's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "We took in Draco because her previous household had a dog allergy.  She's not getting along with one of our dogs.  We had them separate after a fight.  Nobody was seriously injured.  We tried to reintroduce them and Draco lunged at the other dog." Lunge/Bite Incident:  On 17 August 2024, Draco and the other resident dog fought; the bite(s) didn't break the skin; animal was not involved; medical treatment was not warranted.  Draco's guardian explains:  "The two dogs went after each other.  Nobody was injured.  No signs of injury to either dog."  Draco's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Draco lives with children, ages 7 and below, her guardian recommends her living with children. Draco's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Since Draco lives with two dogs, although she doesn't get along with one of them, her guardian recommends her living with dogs. Draco's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Although Draco has lived with cats, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats. Draco's guardian describes her as: Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side House-trained Crate-trained Likes men Likes women Draco's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "I would love Draco to go to a loving home with a solid companion.  I could see her with a family of kids or a single person that hangs out with her all the time.  She would do fine in an apartment if she went on enough walks.  A yard for zoomies is also great." Wasssssssupppppppppppp!!! Yes, my name brings back memories of the 90's... when life was simple and people were weird..... I however, am NOT weird... well, don't look at my pics in the sunglasses, other than that I am NOT weird :) I am nice, and floofy and smart and sweeeetttttt. I came from the pound, apparently I had wandered through the summer of Texas, 109 degree weather :( So this is where you come into the picture.... I was found and brought to the rescue, and the rescue people LOVE ME... but I am looking for my one... true...love.... and am thinking that is YOU :) I am a hairy bloke, but not NEARLY as hairy as most of my friends, and I am BIG (109#) So I fulfill my breed standards, now I just have to find the right "breed" of human- the kind who will love and SPOIL me for the rest of my days! If you are part of that breed, then apply to adopt me into your fantabulous home! I am waiting............... ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! Who says you can't find a purebred dog in rescue???? Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
