Story
Rufus is STUNNING and he knows it! Everyone who meets Rufus instantly falls in love with his goofy personality and bear hugs. He does very well with kids and the two other dogs in his foster home. Rufus is learning basic obedience and leash walking and will need an owner committed to continuing his training. He is an intelligent boy with a side of large breed stubbornness! He loves to play with other active dogs but is known to chase a cat or two in his spare time. Rufus will require a fenced yard to stretch his legs and an experienced adopter. Rufus does have a high prey drive. This dog's adoption fee is $500. If you are viewing on PetFinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for Rufus, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org. Dogs are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. Story
Gavin is my "given" name... but my foster mom calls me Gavin-PATTY... I mean.. do I LOOK LIKE A PATTY???? I am a BOY puppy! I do NOT identify as PATTY! OK, now that you know my foster mom is kind of mean to me, you will likely want to ADOPT ME and get me away from the pronoun confused foster mom! I mean, she has a MASTERS degree, but cannot get my NAME right?? Who voted her onto the island anyway?? I DEMAND A RECOUNT! I am a fantastic pup, delivered to the rescue by a kid going into the "Marines" and she couldn't KEEP me.... i say, NO MARINE DOES THAT! Ok, enough of my indignency! I am a beautiful boy who has a lifetime to live with real pawrents and real sisters and brothers! When i came to the rescue, even though I have distinctive St Bernard kind of markings and face... I was small... but I will tell you... ONE THING the foster "mom" got right is the VITTLES! Cause I am growing like a literal weed! My feet are growing exponentially too. However, I am likely a St Bernard mixed with a smaller kind of dog because I am not NEARLY St Bernard size as a puppy so expect me maybe to hang out well under 100#. But my personality and LOVE know NO SIZE. I am a great pup, I have a silly habit of pretending to bite a finger to get your love and attention. I would be best in a home with another pup or dog to grow up with, I am a social social boy! Look at my video.. I run like the wind! And Piglet, Mika and I have a blast together! I am waiting for you to fill out the application!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
