Story
A BIG, LOVABLE GUY: Approx. 9 years old / 102 lbs. & needs to lose a lot of weight! Hi, my name is Goliath!  I was with Mostly Mutts back in 2019 when I was adopted and thought I had found my furever home.  Unfortunately, that was not the case due to no fault at all of mine!  Thankfully, I worked my way back to Mostly Mutts from animal control and have once again become a favorite of the shelter volunteers!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site working on losing weight, because I was clearly fed way too much food!  I have close to 20 lbs. more pounds to lose – so here I go!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I liked the dogs I met in the prison/foster training program, although I do try to mount them sometimes, so if you have a patient doggie who wouldn’t mind that, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I previously liked kids, but haven’t met kids since returning to MM’s, so if you have kids let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  It is no accident that the volunteers love me, and they describe me as ‘a total love who is sweet and wonderful’ with a gentle, friendly nature.  What’s not to love?  I’m super social with the volunteers.  I’m a big guy with the potential to be a strong puller but I have had nice walking manners and I’m just so happy to be with you!  Loving and affectionate, I readily accept love and give it in return. / My energy level is 4-6.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am currently in the prison/foster training program and a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to losing the weight I need to lose and learning some commands while I’m here, too.  I already know several commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’ and ‘leave it’. I also walk nicely on a leash, accept friendly strangers without jumping, and utilize proper door etiquette, too!  I expect to be a graduate very soon!  / I don’t like my crate and will protest loudly when being in there.  The good news is, I’ve been a good boy out of my crate, so I might not need one in my new home.  / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy soaking up attention and love those butt scratches and having my handsome coat brushed.  Being with people makes me happy, and I will whine when people are nearby as if to say, ‘Look at me – I’m ready to be your buddy!’ / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I came back to MM with ear infections which have been treated, and what seems to be chronic skin allergies, so I’m getting medicated baths twice a week which can be done in my new home. I have minimal tartar on my molars, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.  I’ve started on an over-the-counter joint supplement, Cosequin, to help with some hip stiffness I’m experiencing which is likely due to my excess weight.  It’s good for older dogs as well so I should stay on it.  I am looking for a great family to give me a loving home for the rest of my life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 15, 2025, 8:58 am

Story
With a heavy heart, I’m searching for a loving, responsible home for my dog, a pure bred Saint Bernard 1 year and 4 month old male dog. He is mellow, affectionate and loyal. Recently our jobs have required us to be in the office more so we have less time to be around him. We also have 4 year old twins who have autism and require a lot of attention. Unfortunately we feel that we can no longer give him as much love and attention as he deserves. He is house-trained, good with kids, leash-trained, and we can give you all his toys, food, crate, cot, collar, leash and anything else we have for him. Serious inquiries only. Please let me know if you are interested. He is up to date on all vaccines. The rehoming fee is negotiable for the right person/family. I really love him so much and hate to have to do this but unfortunately it is our only option. As of right now he is not neutered. But we are planning on covering the cost to have him neutered soon. Please message me with any questions.

Story
This handsome man is Beethoven. He is a giant teddy bear that loves to give you hugs! He walks well on a leash, is house broken, and knows basic commands. He would do best in a single dog household as he does not care for male dogs. He is otherwise a very sweet boy and would also make a great guardian dog for a farm! He has a very loud and deep bark that would intimidate even the boldest of predators!
