Story
Affectionate dog breed, very good with children. Saints are famously watchful and patient companions with a fondness for children. She is well trained and wants to always be by your side. She does not want strangers or people she does not know being near her children she protects. This is very important- if you have kids she will be amazing with your children. If your children have friends over- she will not let them near her children. Calm and easygoing, the Saint Bernard is a low-energy dog and a slow mover. It learns quickly but tends to respond methodically. The Saint is very affectionate and demonstrative toward family and fairly friendly toward strangers. She is great with bunnies, chickens, goats, dogs, cats and her people.

Story
Hi! My name is COH Winter. I am a 4 year old female Saint Bernard Mix. I look almost identical to my brother, Beethoven. We were found running the streets together. My brother has been adopted and now it's my turn! I am an excited, loving and loyal companion and I absolutely adore everyone I meet! I love going on walks and generally just love being around the family. I am happy ALL the time and I'll show you with my hugs and wagging tail. Come meet me this weekend and let's go on adventures together! We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood. Sometimes exceptions are made in a particular situation for an adopter further out than 30 miles which is at the discretion of the director.

Story
Handsome 2-year-old Benny has a long list of very admirable qualities! He behaves perfectly at home, does not counter surf, sits & waits for his meals & is not a heavy drooler. A mellow, affectionate boy, Benny is content to stay quietly by your side if you work from home as the only dog. Although friendly with some dogs, Benny is sometimes "dog selective" & we feel he should be the only dog at his new home. Benny looks forward eagerly to his daily walks but won't require an intense amount of exercise. He rides well in a car & is not destructive. He sleeps through the night & is housebroken & neutered. A great match would be a loving "Saint Bernard savvy" adopter looking for a fluffy love bug & willing to devote time, continued training & leadership in exchange for limitless snuggles, love & devotion from Benny. If you are interested in Benny, please complete an adoption application on a laptop or desktop ( not a cell phone). https://www.sunnysaints.org/our-adoption-process.html

Story
Lord Buckingham "Buckey" was pulled from a Central CA shelter. He had ticks, was emaciated, and could hardly walk without looking like he would fall over. Even so, he would give tentative tail wags. After a few months in foster, not only is Buckey feeling better, but he is also a true gentleman with an amazing kind heart. He’s recovered from tick caused anemia, and emaciation. He has had broken teeth fixed, neutered, and gastropexy. He does have some hip & elbow dysplasia that will need to be monitored. Behaviorally, he loves to love and be loved. He is good with other dogs, but let’s be honest, he would rather be with humans. He doesn’t realize he is a dog; he loves it when you talk to him, and he will look straight into your eyes to let you know that he is paying attention. The drawback to wanting to be always with his person is that Buckey does have a little bit of anxiety when he can’t see you, but as soon as he knows you’re there, he’s totally fine. The more time you spend with him, the more special you will learn he is. We estimate that Buckey is 2-3 years old, housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, and currently being fostered in San Diego, California. Please consider adopting this wonderful, kindhearted boy.

Story
Brooklyn came to us with another St. Bernard, Bronx. They are a bonded pair. They both were missing hair from flea allergies, skinny, ear & other infections as well as having foxtails embedded in their feet. She has since been given a clean bill of health, gained weight (though she is on the petite size), has been spayed, fully vaccinated and now looking for her forever home. Her foster parents say she is "sweet as pie" she likes to cuddle, loves stuffed toys, rough housing and play time are her favorite things, but she does calm down. She is food motivated, and really enjoys head/ear and belly scratches. She also thinks she's a lap dog and anything dealing with water she's thinks is great. She is house broken, great with kids/people/other dogs, rides great in the car, hasn't shown any food or toy aggression, and is crate trained. She is currently being fostered in Southern California with Bronx. They are a bonded pair, and we would love for them to stay together. If you would like to learn more about Brooklyn, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.sunnysaints.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Bronx was a hot mess when he first became a Sunny Saint. He came to us with another St. Bernard, Brooklyn. They are a bonded pair. They both were missing hair from flea allergies, skinny, ear & other infections as well as having foxtails embedded in their feet. He has since been given a clean bill of health, gained weight, has been neutered, fully vaccinated and now looking for his forever home. His foster parents say he is a "cuddle bug to the max" loves being with people, rarely ever barks, does "happy yawns", gentle giant, mellow demeanor, loves a soft comfy pillow, blanket, bed, and that chest rubs are his FAVORITE thing on entire planet. He is house broken, great with kids/people/other dogs, rides great in the car, hasn't shown any food or toy aggression, and is crate trained. He is bonded with Brooklyn and we would LOVE for them be adopted together. He is currently being fostered in Southern California with Brooklyn.
