Story
Liam is the ultimate super special edition Squishmallow that you did not know existed. Liam is a big goofball and an even bigger cuddle bug. He always wants part of the action, and LOVES to be by people. He loves to curl up on the couch and be a lap dog… despite being 75 lbs. While in foster care Liam has been house-trained, crate-trained, taught basic commands and walks nicely on a leash except when harassed by yard dogs. When passing by other dogs, Liam needs a confident handler that he can trust to keep him safe. With a calm handler he walks very nicely, however if you are unsure or anxious he will pick up on this and be anxious in turn. Liam is a big love bug with a lot of love to give! He loves to play with stuffed toys, but will go bonkers for a bone! He also enjoys peanut butter kongs as a nice treat. Liam loves to give and receive big hugs from his favorite humans. Liam currently lives with several large dogs and gets along with everyone after slow introductions. He has met a couple cats as well in foster care. He does not have a high prey drive, but he also is still learning how to interact with them. He likely did not live with cats previously. Liam has met only a couple children, he is large enough that he may knock over very small children but in general he is a gentle giant. Liam has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Bring home this goofball to his forever family today! This big guy has a lot going for him. He is a pure St. Bernard who is very calm and relaxed. He is 7 years old, potty trained, good with everything including kids of all ages, other dogs and even cats. He is 150 pounds but he needs to lose quite a bit of weight, so we have started him on his diet. He is incredibly affectionate. He has been used to being a house dog and enjoys being inside when it is hot outside. He does like to hang outdoors when the weather is cooler. Zeus is adorable and we would love to get him into his new home before the weather gets warmer. $150.00 adoption. Meet Violet! This sweet 3 year old lab/Anatolian Shepherd is looking for her furever home. Violet loves people. She absolutely adores children. Violet can sit and shake. Violet is a gentle giant. She is used to being outside protecting livestock. Animal Rescue Recon makes sure that each dog is current on its vaccinations, has been or will be spayed or neutered, and is microchipped to help keep pets out of the shelters and get them back home where they belong. This is the first step. Please tell us a bit about yourself/family - What city do you live in? - Do you rent or own? - Any children in the home? What ages? List all family members living in home - What is your work schedule? Family schedule? Will your schedule change post COVID? - How many hours per day would pet be left alone? - Where is pet kept when left alone? - Where does pet sleep? - Any other pets in the home? If so, what type/breed? - How often will the dog be exercised? - If the dog becomes ill or injured are financially prepared to provide medical care - Are you prepared to care for this dog for its life span of 10-15 years? - Do you have a plan in place in the event that something happens and you are no longer able to care for the dog? - Prior to adoption, an up close video of your fenced yard will be required - entire perimeter including gates and the bottom of the fencing. Yard must be free of foxtails and fully secured. - Home check may be performed - If "meet & greet" is scheduled, all household members, dogs included, must be present. Adoption fee is $350 which covers all shots and spay/neuter. Our adoption fee is $350. The fee covers the cost of having the dog fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
