Story
Sweet Edna is about 4 years old. When we rescued her we thought she was a senior because she was slow to move and had trouble getting up. Then our vet said she was only about 4 during her exam. We also realized her arthritis suddenly got better! About a month after rescuing her she had a very aggressive seizure. We took her to the ER , got her stabilized and she is now on seizure meds for Epilepsy. We then realized this was probably why her former owners dumped her and why she had separation anxiety😢 Despite everything she’s been through she is still the absolute sweetest girl ever. She gives bear hugs and nuzzles for kisses. She constantly wants to talk about all the love she has to give🥹 she is potty trained and great with other dogs. We want a family where someone is always around to be with her. Imagine how many times she had to go through this ALONE!💔💔💔No wonder she gets separation anxiety🥺 We also want to make sure if there is another dog in the home and she happens to have another seizure that they would not react or try to attack her to stop the chaos. Although she was able to walk on her own after the seizure subsided, She is a giant breed dog so if a situation like this were to come up again and she needs to be carried out into the car , she needs an adopter who has the capacity to help move her around. Although her seizures may be stabilized for a long time, potentially forever , this will always be an underlying medical issue and her future adopters MUST be ready and equipped to take on this financial undertaking as well. Her monthly expenses for food , supplements, medication etc will not be cheap. She is not spayed due to the seizures and we dont know if we will be able to spay her as anesthesia is very risky with her condition. All this being said , this girl is truly special. She is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met and anyone who meets her instantly falls in love. Please reach out with any questions if interested in adopting this sweet girl.

Story
BB is a gentle, friendly and cuddly dog. He enjoys lounging under the kitchen table or on the sofa. He is house trained and prefers indoors unless being walked on a leash. He looks forward to morning and evening walks. I suspect he was trained to walk twice a day. Otherwise he does not care for potty breaks. He's been around children and gets playful. Even though he is still young, he is very big and is not aware of his own size. He needs to be asked to sit and stay to get pet. When I take him out he’s fine with other people and dogs. It appears that he wants to play with dogs that bark at him. He needs to continue to be socialized with other dogs. He is treat motivated and responsive to training. He does shed and combing him every day makes it manageable. When he's in the crate he enjoys watching DogTV on youtube. It's very soothing to him. He loves beef jerky treats. He is truly a loving dog and just wants to be cuddled and give kisses. Serious inquiries only please.

Story
Benny needs to be an only dog... a great match would be a loving "Saint Bernard savvy" adopter looking for a fluffy love bug & willing to devote time, continued training & leadership in exchange for limitless snuggles, love & devotion from Benny. Handsome 2-year-old Benny has a long list of very admirable qualities! He behaves perfectly at home, does not counter surf, sits & waits for his meals & is not a heavy drooler. A mellow, affectionate boy, Benny is content to stay quietly by your side if you work from home as the only dog. Although friendly with some dogs, Benny is sometimes "dog selective" & we feel he should be the only dog at his new home. Benny looks forward eagerly to his daily walks but won't require an intense amount of exercise. He rides well in a car & is not destructive. He sleeps through the night & is housebroken & neutered. If you are interested in Benny, please complete an adoption application on a laptop or desktop ( not a cell phone). https://www.sunnysaints.org/our-adoption-process.html

Story
Lord Buckingham "Buckey" was pulled from a Central CA shelter. He had ticks, was emaciated, and could hardly walk without looking like he would fall over. Even so, he would give tentative tail wags. After a few months in foster, not only is Buckey feeling better, but he is also a true gentleman with an amazing kind heart. He’s recovered from tick caused anemia, and emaciation. He has had broken teeth fixed, neutered, and gastropexy. He does have some hip & elbow dysplasia that will need to be monitored. Behaviorally, he loves to love and be loved. He is good with other dogs, but let’s be honest, he would rather be with humans. He doesn’t realize he is a dog; he loves it when you talk to him, and he will look straight into your eyes to let you know that he is paying attention. The drawback to wanting to be always with his person is that Buckey does have a little bit of anxiety when he can’t see you, but as soon as he knows you’re there, he’s totally fine. The more time you spend with him, the more special you will learn he is. We estimate that Buckey is 2-3 years old, housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, and currently being fostered in San Diego, California. Please consider adopting this wonderful, kindhearted boy.

Story
Brooklyn came to us with another St. Bernard, Bronx. They are a bonded pair & must be adopted together They both were missing hair from flea allergies, skinny, ear & other infections as well as having foxtails embedded in their feet. She has since been given a clean bill of health, gained weight (though she is on the petite size), has been spayed, fully vaccinated and now looking for her forever home. Her foster parents say she is "sweet as pie" she likes to cuddle, loves stuffed toys, rough housing and play time are her favorite things, but she does calm down. She is food motivated, and really enjoys head/ear and belly scratches. She also thinks she's a lap dog and anything dealing with water she's thinks is great. She is house broken, great with kids/people/other dogs, rides great in the car, hasn't shown any food or toy aggression, and is crate trained. She is currently being fostered in Southern California with Bronx. They are a bonded pair, and we would love for them to stay together. If you would like to learn more about Brooklyn, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.sunnysaints.org/adoption-application.html

Story
I can't say enough good things about Buddy.  I wish I could keep him.  This poor boy was dumped off the side of a desolite highway in the mountains in the early morning hours along with his dog house.  A friend found him hiding in the bushes and brought him to our rescue.  When I first saw him, I thought "oh my, he's going to eat my dogs"...turns out that Buddy is one of the most sweetest dogs I've ever rescued.  He loves the other dogs and ESPECIALLY little puppies.  I have a bottle baby that he sleeps next to making sure no other dogs bother him.  He cleans him and loves on him.  I'm attaching a video of him along with two other little puppies we have.  Buddy is housetrained, crate trained and extremely obedient.  He also loves to cuddle next to me at night.  Buddy is now neutered, fully vaccinated (rabies included), received a dental and is microchipped.  Buddy's adoption fee is $450.  To fill out an application for Buddy, please visit www.greendogfoundation.org or for more information, please email us at greendogfoundation@gmail.comOctober 24, 2024, 6:19 pm
