Story
SIMONE was abandoned, pregnant and showing signs of abuse when she appeared on a neighbor’s deck looking for food. Taken inside, she was terrified of everything. Then she was diagnosed with Stomatitis: painful swelling and sores in the mouth. She’s had a few teeth pulled and has had smelly flare-ups periodically. When her breath turns bad, a steroid shot at the vet takes care of it. This will likely need to be done around four times yearly. Simone needs a quiet home with no children. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet! Adoption fees for pets with Stanly County Humane Society are to cover the following: *Spay/Neuter *Heartworm/Feline Testing *All standard vaccinations *Rabies Vaccination *Microchip  November 4, 2024, 9:40 pm

Story
Mittens is 1.5 years old. Great with other cats and children. We took her in from our son who moved out of state. We have a 100 pound puppy that plays with our cat and wants to play with Mittens, but Mittens is terrified and hides most days. We have had her for about 6 month and she hasn’t adjusted yet.
