This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. I can be shy at first but I warm up quickly, especially when I`m offered treats. In addition to treats, I`m also a big fan of catnip toys - I love rolling around on top of them and grabbing them with my paws. Frappe was found as a kitten and lived with her owner, my mother, only for about 5 years. For the past 2 years she has lived in an upstairs bedroom with bathroom with little company due to the fact that one of the homeowners is allergic to cats. Her owner has had to move without her and our hearts break for her and the isolation and loneliness she has had to endure being shut in a small room for so long. I am able to spend some time with her at her meal times but only then. Regardless she is a purr box that loves to be held and pet and played with. She deserves to be in a home with free rein and a human that can spend more time with her and give her the attention she deserves. She will make a great companion for a woman looking for only one inside cat.

Sophie 2 and her best buddy Sara were surrendered to the rescue in the summer of 2023, and at first, they both were very fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family they’d ever known. Under the loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, both Sophie and Sara have begun to shed some of their shyness, and we hope to find them a wonderful, true forever home where they can live out their golden years.
