This talkative trait has earned him the affectionate moniker Yapper-doodle—a fitting tribute to his adorable chatterbox ways. He loves food and will even sit and stay for treats at night while chattering all the way. He will be your shadow cat as he is friendly and gentle, wanting your touch, kisses, and cuddles. He will paw for your pets and understands to be gentle with his claws when pulling your hand to his head. This has earned him the name Buddy. He has no problem curling up on your lap, in bed, or anywhere else you let him. Sophie 2 was surrendered to the rescue in the summer of 2023, and at first, she was quite fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family she’d ever known. Under the loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, Sophie 2 has begun to shed some of her shyness, and we hope to find her a wonderful, true forever home where she can live out her golden years. Frappe was found as a kitten and lived with her owner, my mother, only for about 5 years. For the past 2 years she has lived in an upstairs bedroom with bathroom with little company due to the fact that one of the homeowners is allergic to cats. Her owner has had to move without her and our hearts break for her and the isolation and loneliness she has had to endure being shut in a small room for so long. I am able to spend some time with her at her meal times but only then. Regardless she is a purr box that loves to be held and pet and played with. She deserves to be in a home with free rein and a human that can spend more time with her and give her the attention she deserves. She will make a great companion for a woman looking for only one inside cat.
