Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with extensive experience Will be most comfortable in an adult-only home May prefer home with cat friendly dogs May be okay with well-matched cats Loves learning to do tricks Requires daily medication to be happy and healthy  Needs to be indoor only   According to his foster, “Vesper is very challenging but is WORTH IT. He is very sweet, and very smart, and has made a lot of progress in a short period of time! He just needs someone with patience, and he will be an excellent buddy for life.”   This striking Snowshoe mix has mesmerizing pale blue eyes, extravagant whiskers, and a playful though rather intense disposition. While he likes most toys, wand toys are his favorite. He is confident and social with people, however, as he missed out on some critical socialization when he was a very young kitten, he can get locked into play mode and require careful planning and extra space to manage his behavior safely. He also takes daily medications to help with impulse control (luckily he gobbles them up with treats!)    When he’s not scampering after toys, this handsome cat will enjoy supervising your activities, as he likes to be near his person. While he is happy to leave you alone to do your own thing, Vesper is especially fond of “helping” you wash the dishes because he loves water. This good boy sleeps through the night and is fine about sleeping in with you, too. You can even look forward to him greeting you at the door with a little nose nudge — so sweet!   Vesper is a smart cat and loves learning new tricks! Recently, he’s been enjoying supervised "garden time" to explore outside and sniff new things. He’s even learning to be harness-trained for future strolls outside. When it comes to tricks for treats, he’s mastered turn-a-circle, sit, down, rollover, high-five, and also understands target training.    This confident boy would love your time and attention. If you can add an extra heaping help of  patience and playtime, you’ll have an excellent, loyal buddy for life. Vesper is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Story
Hudson is a sweet, cuddly, energetic and playful lap cat. He's a snowshoe mix that will be your buddy no matter what. He's affectionate, so if you're looking for a cuddly cat he's the one for you. After a year of trying and learning, my current cat seems to be too aggressive towards to him despite his many efforts to be her friend. I'd say he'd thrive in a home where someone is willing to give him lots of toys and play time as well, or has another playful cat that would be his friend!

Story
Jax and Opie MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Jax and Opie are a bonded pair that have been together since they were wee kittens. Jax is a striking Snowshoe Siamese mix and Opie is a beautiful Seal Point Siamese. They are shy kitties, that like to play with wand toys and cuddle up with you once they are comfortable. They do run and hide if something unexpected alarms them. A new baby, in their very small home, has become too overwhelming for them. The baby's cries and sounds are a disturbing intrusion to their former peaceful, contented environment. They are strictly indoor only. Their owner says they are healthy although have not been seen by a vet since their kitten vaccinations in July 2021. They are due for their 3 yr booster and rabies vaccines. They have been reluctant to be placed into a carrier. A friend has been helping to acclimate them to a carrier by placing one in an accessible area with comfy bedding and treats awaiting to be discovered inside. Jax and Opie had been good about using their litter box until the baby arrived. They have since had intermittent urination accidents outside their one and only litter box. It is currently located in a busy narrow hallway. We look forward for them returning to normal litter box use when they are in a more spacious quiet home. We recommend at least two litter boxes, located in more private out of the way places, that are scooped 2 times a day, refreshed with clean litter and thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis. It is not uncommon for kitties to find the presence of a new baby in their world upsetting for them. Their owner loves these boys and has come to the difficult realization that they need a different home with no babies or young children. One where patience will prevail, providing time and gentleness to allow them to feel safe, with the comfort needed to unfold into the sweet, affectionate, playful boys they really are and want to be. We hope that will be you! We've even included some super cute baby pictures for your 'family album'. Jax is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. He currently lives with his owner in Fremont. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Jax (and Opie) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
