Story
#A5651740 Bandit is a handsome male Snowshoe whose owner surrendered him to the Care Center on September 11. This beautiful boy is big and loveable! Bandit enjoyed his time on the table for his photo debut, with displays of affectionately flopping onto his side and rolling all over the table, only to get up and do it all over again, and again, and again… His slightly crossed eyes are endearing. We don’t know why his owner had to give him up, but we’re certain he is terribly missed. If you are searching for your special feline friend, we think Bandit is the bomb! Bandit is approaching seniorhood and he deserves to spend it in a wonderful home.   Bandit is… 14-years-old Weighs 13 lbs. Neutered Vaccinated Microchipped Ready to go home. This time forever.    For more information, contact volunteer Mary at  mary@unitedhopeforanimals.org ---------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
#A5663690 Noni is a beautiful blue-eyed feline whose owners surrendered her to the Care Center on November 14 because they were moving. Understandably, Noni is confused and nervous, ending up in a shelter environment after coming from possibly the only home she’s ever known. The day of Noni’s photoshoot, she was comforted in the arms of one of our volunteers and just couldn’t get enough. This sweet and sensitive girl needs to find a new and permanent home where she will be loved and cherished forever. Noni is… 3-years-old Weighs 10 lbs. Spayed Vaccinated Microchipped Ready to go home for good!   For more information, contact volunteer Mary at  mary@unitedhopeforanimals.org ---------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. Story
T-Rex is a distinguished Snowshoe gentleman with mesmerizing blue eyes and a heart as big as his purrs that you'll definitely want to meet. A senior guy, T-Rex is a seasoned snuggle pro who appreciates the finer things in life: warm laps, gentle cuddles, and the company of other feline friends. He does need an experienced cat owner since he does have kidney disease that requires regular fluids and medication. Despite his past, including being found after 3 weeks away from his previous home covered in tar, T-Rex remains an incredibly resilient and affectionate soul. His little snaggle tooth adds character to his friendly demeanor, and his patience knows no bounds, making him an ideal companion for both humans and cats alike. T-Rex may be set in his ways, but that includes a capacity for love and companionship that knows no limits. Could you be the forever home that completes this well-rounded, gentle-hearted cat's quest? He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you'd like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-faqs Please contact the foster at manager@KittenRescue.org

Story
Meet Edelweiss, affectionately known as Edie, the sassy yet regal queen of our Sanctuary. With her dilute calico point Siamese coat and crystal blue eyes, she's a supermodel of a cat, exuding elegance and grace. When she's around too many feline companions, she can get overstimulated, but with people, she's an absolute sweetheart. She's cuddly, enjoys being held, and will make you feel like you're the center of her universe. This bougie beauty has also been through a lot. Edie is an FIP survivor. FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) is a serious virus that requires a lot of effort to treat. But thanks to the tireless care she received at Kitten Rescue, Edie kicked FIP to the curb and is ready to take on a new kingdom. She does have food allergies and requires a specialized diet, and she's currently undergoing immunotherapy to help with allergy-related skin issues. That hardly interrupts her ability to rule her world - or to rule yours. Edie will thrive as a single cat, and she prefers a calm environment without small children or other animals. She has been with us for several years, patiently waiting for her forever home where she can reign supreme and receive all the love and attention she deserves. Could you be the devoted soul to give Edie the fine china treatment and make her the queen of your heart? Please contact the foster at manager@KittenRescue.org

Story
Momo is an incredibly sweet and shy young lady. Her early life on the street has taught her to be wary of strangers though once she warms up she is far and away the most affectionate kitty I've ever met. Momo loves to be pampered and demands her pets and scratches through headbutts and thunderous purring nudging her nose under your hand until you get the hint. What Momo wants most is to feel safe so a quiet home with no other cats and a nice tall perch on which to survey her queendom are all great ways to help her open up. For more information, email Momo's foster at manager@kittenrescue.org

Story
Meet Roy! He loves pets, playtime and lounging around – there’s nothing better in life than that! When Roy first moves into a new home, it may take some time for him to fully warm up, and he’ll soon show you that he is a total sweetheart! He especially likes cheek and chin scratches, as well as naptime snuggles. When he’s ready to play, he enjoys wand toys, laser pointers and chasing after a treat! After burning off some energy, he will look for a cozy napping spot, and he can occasionally be found curled up under the bedsheets. Roy would thrive in a home be with someone who will give him all the pets and snuggles that he wants, as well as ample playtime throughout the day! He would also love to live somewhere with lots of comfy spots to catnap in, as well as enough space to run around and get his zoomies out. He also wouldn’t mind company when he eats his meals – he’s a social boy at heart! Roy is looking for an experienced adopter who understands when he is feeling overstimulated. He can be a bit mouthy and give gentle play bites when he feels done with being pet or if he’s in a playful mood. Our Adoption Team would be happy to provide recommendations for addressing his behavior, such as redirecting his attention to appropriate toys and providing him with plenty of daily enrichment with designated playtimes. Due to his playstyle and sensitivity to petting, Roy would also do best in a home without young children. Potential adopters should be aware that Roy tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) in August 2024. With proactive and routine veterinary care, FIV-positive cats can have both a normal lifespan and good quality of life. Our Adoption Team will share more information about Roy’s medical history and expected future care when you apply. Story
If you’re looking to adopt the sweetest angel, look no further than Angelito! Angelito is an adorable boy who is ready to find a home of his own! When he first arrives, he may take some time to warm up to his new surroundings, but the wait is worth it. Once he feels comfortable with someone new, he happily shows them his true colors and blossoms into a wonderful feline companion! He loves getting pets and chin scratches, playing with small mice toys and he especially loves lickable treats. When it’s time for a meal or a snack, Angelito will nudge you gently to remind you! He might even roll around cutely on the ground to get your attention. Adopters should know that Angelito came into our care with evidence of severe dental disease, consistent with stomatitis. This is a painful condition where a significant inflammatory immune reaction occurs in response to bacteria in a cat’s mouth. To treat his stomatitis, all his teeth were surgically removed in October. He is still recovering from the procedure, but he has already shown improvement! Additional veterinary care is sometimes needed after teeth removal procedures, but it is too early to say if that is the case for Angelito. When you apply for him, our Adoption Team will be happy to share his medical history and expected future care with you. Angelito’s dream home would be a quiet one with patient, understanding adopters who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in. He is a sensitive kitty who may startle when someone approaches him too quickly, so it’s best to go at his pace. He really likes having a few cozy hiding spots in the home where he can curl up when he’s feeling shy. Since his dental procedure, he also only eats soft food and treats. A little playtime and yummy treats help to get to know this wonderful boy! Angelito is a special cat who doesn’t need much to be happy – just your love and understanding!
