Meet Scruffy! Scruffy is a sweet 9-year-old, 20-pound Jack Russell/Shih Tzu mix who's looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. With his adorable scruffy face and big personality, he'll quickly win your heart! As he gets older, Scruffy isn't a fan of grooming, so he'll need a patient groomer who understands senior pups with some reactivity. Scruffy loves his walks and lives for even short strolls. While he can be reactive to other dogs on leash (he might just want to say hi but gets overexcited), he's living peacefully with 9 smaller dogs in foster care. A fenced yard would be ideal, but if you're comfortable handling his occasional reactivity by redirecting or walking away from distractions, Scruffy will happily trot alongside you. Scruffy is a fan of cozy bedtimes and has mastered using stairs to climb into bed with his person-he loves to snuggle close at night. However, he is a little unsure around young kids or "tiny humans," so a home with no children or one with older, dog-savvy kids who respect a dog's boundaries would be best. If you have a heart for seniors and want to give Scruffy the chance to live his best life, he could be your perfect companion! Ready to bring Scruffy home? Story
We rescued Rocky from our local animal shelter at the end of 2018. According to the shelter, he was estimated to be about 6 months old at the time. Our Sons were 4 and 2 years old then, and Rocky was great with them. He has a lot of energy and loves to run around our fenced in backyard and chase squirrels and capture lizards. Rocky’s biggest “issue” is that he is very protective of his immediate family, and will display aggressive behaviors to strangers that get too close. However, whenever we have to leave our home for an extended period of time, we have Rocky boarded. He always gets a great report about how sweet he is, and how he loves running around with the other dogs. He does well with the vet too! We have made multiple attempts to acclimate him to others around the neighborhood, but we feel that he is just too protective of us. We really just want to rehome Rocky to a new family in hopes that he can start fresh, and share his sweet side with everyone, rather than being sheltered

Story
Gunther is the sweetest energetic boy and loving. He enjoys cuddling and nice long walks. He loves tug ropes, playing in mud and water, running along side you as you ride a bicycle and chasing lizards. He is a great hunter, companion, protector and true friend. He especially gets along with dogs his size. It takes him longer to get along with bigger dogs because he thinks he is a big dog(hehe). He knows basic commands like sit, stay, recall when whistled at, and down. He loves fluffy blankets and works for treats. He travels well in the car, loves hiking trails, and just having fun. Unfortunately at this time in my life I am unable to keep him due to reduction in income and I am seeking a great family to rehome him.
