Story
Danny is a 7-year-old, 13lb Shih Tzu mix. Danny is the laid-back, sweet pup you never knew you needed. His foster mom describes him as a "nice, wonderful companion." Danny is quiet, doesn't make much noise and will be independent in exploring his surroundings. He's very smart and is picking up on the routine of his foster home very quickly. On top of being intelligent, he's fully vetted, housebroken, crate trained, and is doing well learning to walk on a leash. Danny has a 5/6 heart murmur and dry eyes, so he will need to be on medication and eye drops for the remainder of his life, but that doesn't stop him from being the sweetest boy. Danny would do well in a quiet home where he can spend his time lounging around and loving life. If you think Danny might be the pup of your dreams, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Stella is an 8-year-old, 14 lb. Shih Tzu. Stella is so excited to find her perfect home! This little lady checks a lot of boxes - she's potty-trained, has great house manners, and loves being a lap dog who gets all the pets! Stella is doing well in her foster home and absolutely loves being around her foster mom. When she's not getting pets, she loves to play! She likes playing with toys (especially those ones she can shred!) and enjoys the kids in her foster home. Even though she's 8, she doesn't know it and doesn't let age slow her down. Stella has been around cats, but thinks they always want to play "chase", so she would do better in a home without any feline friends. She does love her neighborhood walks and is great on a leash! Stella does love her food and sometimes gets jealous of her foster doggie siblings during mealtime. She's currently on a strict diet because of recurring bladder stones and will need to be on prescription food to prevent any future bladder issues for the rest of her life. Stella also has inverted eyelashes and will need medicated eye drops for life. Don't worry though, it's easy to manage and she is absolutely worth it! She likes playing with the dogs in her foster home, but she can sometimes get a little pushy, so an easy-going playmate is best for her! Stella would love to find a calm home where she can get her wiggles out, but then crash on the couch with her people and do some serious snuggling! If you're ready for the cutest and most loving companion, apply to meet Stella today! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description.
