They are scared and under-socialized, but with patience and kind routines, they can begin to feel safe and loved. 💖 Personality & Temperament * Very timid and unsure of people * Learning what it means to live indoors and be part of a family * Each dog is different—some may approach sooner, others may need more time to feel safe * Get along with other dogs 🏡 Ideal Home We’re looking for patient adopters who understand that these dogs are starting from scratch and will need time to adjust. Requirements & Important Notes: * Securely Fenced-in yard required: They are not leash trained yet and are too frightened for walks. * Somewhat potty trained: They’re learning to use pee pads indoors and will need continued guidance and routine. * Not leash trained: They will need time to get comfortable with a leash. 🌼 Meet Our “Gentleman’s Club 7” Breeder-Release Maltese Dogs 🌼 (Reginald, Clarence, Edwin, Percival, Wilfred, Bertram, and Theodore) Percival—affectionately called Percy—is a sweet, playful little Maltese who is just beginning to discover what life as a beloved pet is all about. Percy came from a breeding facility where he lived closely with the gentleman club, and because of that, they are very attached to each other. A home with another friendly, social dog is a must for him—he truly thrives when he has a buddy by his side. He is fostered with Edwin and they nonstop race the house with each other. Percy is a funny, charming little guy with a gentle spirit. Living in a home with people is still new to him, and while he’s learning that being picked up and cuddled can be safe and cozy, it does make him a bit nervous at first. With patience, he will settle into your lap and relax, and continued gentle handling will help him build confidence. His preference, though, is happily sitting close to his doggy sibling, soaking up that familiar comfort. His favorite toy is a plastic water bottle. He is not leash trained and will need a securely fenced yard to safely explore the outdoors. Percy is currently using potty pads and will need ongoing work and consistency to learn pottying outside. He does not enjoy being kenneled but does well in an x-pen, where he feels more at ease. Percy is looking for a calm, patient home that understands breeder-release dogs and is willing to let him move at his own pace. With another dog to guide him and a family who celebrates small wins, Percy will continue to blossom into the delightful little companion he’s meant to be. 💛 Adoption fee: $350.00 plus tax Apply at: www.camp companion.org

Wolfie is a 7 year old Shih Tzu with a gentle heart and a loyal spirit. This sensitive boy came into rescue after his previous home was not the right fit. He takes his “lap protector” duties very seriously and would thrive in a calm, adult only home with one or two special people to call his own who are home often to keep him company. Wolfie did not do well with other male “in your face dogs” but does best with calm small dogs his size. He is high energy, and another dog could help him burn some energy, but he could be a solo pup just as well! Wolfie would do best with a fenced yard or a new home who will keep a close eye (and leash!) on him. He is more active than many people expect from a Shih Tzu and regular outdoor play helps keep him happy and confident. He will also take himself for a run given the opportunity, and can be a sneaky guy to catch up to. He has is great with leash training and enjoys walks and little adventures. Wolfie can be a bit anxious at first but once he feels safe his affectionate and devoted nature shines. His favorite place is curled up on your lap soaking up love and attention. He LOVES snuggling under the covers at bedtime and will spin in circles when he gets excited. He can also be a sassy Shih Tzu chatterbox when he knows what he wants!
