Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Geronimo came to the shelter on November 8th as a local breeder release. He is a purebred shih tzu who could be around 3 years old. Geronimo is a friendly guy who is a little shy upon first meeting. He likes attention, however, and is very loving. He will be neutered on Nov. 26th and his fee is $200. Geronimo will need some training in all areas. He does seem to keep his kennel pretty clean so that's a good sign. He's looking for a home that has the time and patience to work with him. He has the potential to be a lot of fun. We do think he'd do well with other smaller dogs and probably cats. Kids over 10 would be best. He will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your email if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2024, 10:05 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Verona is a Maltese mix who came to the shelter on November 8th as a local breeder release. We're guessing she's around 2 years old and that she could be mixed with other small breeds like poodle and/or Yorkie. Verona is bouncy and outgoing once she is comfortable. She will be spayed on Nov. 26th and her fee is $200. Verona needs a somewhat quiet home with the the ability to give her the time she needs to adjust and the training she requires. She's a sweet girl but does scare easily. We think she would do best in an adult only home (teens are fine). She should be okay with other smaller dogs. We don't think cats would be a problem. A fenced yard would be perfect for her. She has been recently shaved but will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Celia came to the shelter on November 8th after being released/surrendered by a breeder who wanted to reduce the number of dogs at their home. She's a sweet and bouncy purebred Maltese who can be a little shy when she meets new people. She does enjoy attention and is very cuddly and playful. She came to us already microchipped and has been vet checked and spayed. Her fee is $200. Celia is looking for a somewhat quiet home without young kids. Someone who is experienced with her breed or similar breeds would be great. She does need basic training in all areas. She should be good with other smaller dogs and cats. She will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved.
