Story
Meet Turnpike! Turnpike is a sweet-as-sugar senior who’s ready to steal your heart! This lovable boy has a gentle soul and a wagging tail that never stops. Whether it’s a quiet cuddle on the couch or a sunny stroll in the park, Turnpike is always by your side, bringing endless joy. Turnpike gets along with everyone he meets and has a soft spot for treats and cozy blankets. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Turnpike is ready to find his forever home. Here's some notes from his foster: Turnpike: A Sweet and Mellow Addition to a Family with Pets Turnpike is a charming little guy with an irresistible, funny, sweet personality! In just a few days, I fell in love with him, and he won over everyone he met with his gentle and easygoing nature. He's a quiet, independent dog who's happy to go with the flow. Little dude is really good at tailing people and animals alike when he’s up and about in the house. I have suspicions that he might be part cat. He shows affection by rubbing his head against things or people he likes. Despite being very even-tempered and chill, he definitely rules the roost even if my dog is quite a bit bigger than he is (30-35lbs). Turnpike has displaced my dog from the larger beds in the house a couple of times already. He’s definitely a big fan of cosy fleece blankets and plushies-as-pillows. Turnpike is 100% potty trained and also pee pad trained. He's incredibly earnest about holding it until he can go outside, which is especially important considering how much water he drinks. He'd thrive in a home with easy access to a patio or yard for frequent potty breaks so he doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. When he needs to go, you will learn his quiet little gestures to let you know. Although one of Turnpike’s biggest charms is his independent nature happy to explore the smells of his environment by himself, he truly blossoms in a lively home with other dogs and plenty of human activity. His walks are much more spirited when he's in a social environment, and he loves greeting people and other animals with gentle nose bumps. He's incredibly gentle and not at all aggressive, suggesting he would do well in a home with other small pets (cats, squirrels, hamsters, etc.). Turnpike is a very quiet dog – I haven't even heard him bark! He's content to find his bed and settle in for a nap when left alone, showing no signs of issues being left alone. Being blind, Turnpike explores his surroundings by gently bumping into things. He's more confident in daylight and a little more cautious at night. I've found that walking close to him and shuffling my feet helps him navigate, and a gentle sniff of my leg or shoes reassures him I’m right here when he seems unsure. He quickly learned where the door to the house is and is always happiest when returning to the warm inside. Turnpike sleeps soundly through the night, but having a pee pad nearby would be helpful for any nighttime potty needs. While he enjoys snuggling on the bed, it's important to be cautious due to his blindness and ensure he can't fall. He loves nose, ear, belly, and chest rubs to help him drift off to sleep. He might be a little restless or grumble the first few nights in a new home as he adjusts. Turnpike is a truly special dog who deserves a loving and understanding home. He's such a good boy who brought so much joy to me! If you're looking for a gentle, low-key companion who’s house-trained, the quiet type, and adaptable, Turnpike is perfect!

Meet Toffee Tastic – the sweetest treat you'll ever meet! This little lady is as sweet as her name! Toffee Tastic is a gentle, friendly girl who loves making new friends—both human and furry. She gets along great with other dogs and would love a cozy home where she can cuddle up next to you. Whether it’s nap time, snack time, or a slow stroll around the block, Toffee is happy just being by your side. Looking for a loving, easygoing companion? Toffee Tastic is ready to be your forever best friend! Here's some notes from her foster: In a short time TT has gone from a very unsure girl at HQ to a confident dog in my home. She was very comfortable in the car ride to my place. In a short amount of time, she found her favorite toys and we found out that she loves to play fetch. She can jump pretty high - at least 3 feet into my bed. Very active for a 10 year old. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was actually younger. She’s comfortable with being handled, and she would love to be in a home with other dogs! Toffee adapted really quickly to her new environment, and was on our laps within like two hours. Today she's doing full on zoomies and playing like a puppy. She has not shown any guarding of either of us either, so she seems happy in a multi-human household. We've only had one brief barking episode when she heard a sound in the hall, but it stopped quickly, so barking really hasn't been a problem. She's a really sweet and happy girl once she feels comfortable with you. And she has LOTS of energy and life in her. She'll make a great companion.

Story
When you’re a Maltese stunner with snow white fur and extra floofy ears and brows, everybody wants an instant connection. Corsage understands, of course, but she wouldn’t mind a little quiet conversation, meaningful glances, and a gentle pet with permission before the big hugs and extravagant kisses. That said, she’s a glutton for affection from trusted humans and friendly dogs. Once she loves you, be ready for plenty of snuggling, walkies, and heart-to-heart talks (she’s a great listener). Oh, and Corsage is potty trained. Looking for your keys? Good idea! She awaits your tender overtures.
