Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - REX BREED - Silky Terrier mix SIZE - About 15 pounds AGE - 2 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Rex is a precious little fellow who came to us from rural Davidson County, NC after being dumped from a car in the country. This sugar sweet boy is a wonderful dog and we cannot imagine what would cause someone to do something so horrible as to abandon him. We are grateful that he was seen and taken in, and that we have the opportunity to help him to find a wonderful new home and family. Our vet has examined this healthy guy and thinks he is about 2 years old. He is fully grown at just under 15 pounds. Rex has gotten his first round of vaccines, has tested negative for heart worms and is scheduled to be neutered on December 16. Until after his neuter, we will only adopt him locally to Richmond, VA. We are seeking a knowledgable and experienced adopter who can help to train Rex to be an indoor dog, and to understand that he is secure in their home. A home with a structured fence is a must as this little guy is looking for escape. Clearly he is missing his prior home. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with Rex. A home without larger pets or small children is in his best interest. This beautiful boy is a true diamond in the rough. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Rex and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Rex at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.

Story
Vivian needs someone who is willing to put the time and energy into properly training her. We adopted her a year ago from a breeder of Shih Tzus. She was a year old and had not been purchased as a puppy. Despite her age, Viv had never been named or seemingly given any attention. She was timid and fully untrained. Over the past year, Vivian has relaxed with my wife and me. She loves to snuggle up against us and be petted. She does not relax with any other people. Her issue has worsened since we had a baby 3 months ago. She loves the baby, but barks and nips at the ankles of anyone else who comes in the house or room, even our 12 & and 15-year-old sons. Additionally, we have been unable to completely house-train Vivian. She continues to pee and poop in the house, even minutes after going outside. Viv does love other dogs. She spends hours playing and wrestling with our other dog, a sheepadoodle mix. Viv is not spayed. We are waiving adoption fee as new owners must get her spayed.

Story
My name is Biscuit and I'm a southern boy that somehow got lost from my family and they never came looking for me. I was kind of in bad shape when I showed up on an older couple's front porch and curled up underneath the chair just looking for some shelter and protection from the weather.  Noone ever came forward so Cavalry rescue really came through for me and they got me groomed and a bath and then they got me neutered, heartworm neg. test and all my shots, microchipped, and deworming. I'm a healthy 2-3 year-old, 21 lb Lhasa Apso mix boy that everybody loves.  You see I am a happy little guy that loves everyone and I am totally fearless about life. I am not scared of big dogs either and I try to be everyone's friends no matter their size. My foster mom said I'm housebroken and I have perfect house manners, which amazed her. I'm very good in the house and I'm very easy to have around so if I could talk I could probably tell him who I belong to. But I can't talk and I guess my parents don't really care where I am. But, Critter Cavalry cares where my next home is and they're out scouring the countryside looking for my next blessing of a new and loving family.  I'm a young boy and I have a ton of years and life ahead of me. I will be the easiest and best dog you have ever owned. Contact Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you were interested in adopting me. I could be an early Christmas gift that you make to yourself!  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 18, 2024, 7:24 pm
