Story
Hi, my name is Izzie and my foster pawrents say that I'm just the sweetest little girl! I ended up at the shelter labeled as a stray - whatever that is. That is where I started my journey as a Miri's Haven dog. I've already moved on from my stray era and I'm totally in my glow up era. (humble brag - sorry, not sorry) My loves in life are food, being with people, and a quick run through the yard followed by a snooze. I'm pretty good at pottying outside but sometimes you have to remind me and I don't mind if you put pee pads out for me. I'm great with the dogs and cats here at my foster pawrents' house. Sometimes I holler at the other dogs if they try to bother me when I'm sleeping. I also think that everyone should share their food with me but they don't seem to agree. I'm also an expert splooter and hoping they add it to the Olympics so I can compete in LA. I take one pill a day for Cushing's and don't even mind it beacause it's an extra snackie. If you would you like to take me on some adventures, I would love to follow you!

WHEN AN APPLICATION TO ADOPT IS APPROVED WE BRING NEWTON TO THE HOME VISIT AND MEET AND GREET, AND IF ANOTHER ANIMAL A SNIFF TEST.  WE DO NOT PLACE DOGS ON THIS VISIT. WE RETURN IF THERE WILL BE AN ADOPTION WHEN EVERYONE IS PREPARED TO ADOPT.  WE ONLY TRAVEL UP TO A ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM ROCKVILLE MD TO PLACE ANIMALS. Newton is a mixed breed we presume to be Shih-Tzu / Poodle mix.  He is around 20 pounds (underweight) neutered and just recently vetted.  Newton ended up in a local shelter completely matted and in pain.  He was shaved down, neutered and had imbecile hernia repair.  He was too stressed out in the shelter so they reached out for a rescue group to help him.  We got there as soon as we can.  Newton is an active, happy, playful dog that gets along well with his new foster brother.  He seems to be energetic and active and a bit mouthy so he would not do well with young children. We place dogs within a one hour drive from Rockville MD. we concentrate our adoptions in these areas only.
