Looking for a hypoallergenic heartthrob who won’t leave your clothes looking like a shaggy carpet? Well, you’ve found him. Stud Muffin is a 5-6 year old, 15 pound Silky Terrier who has all the charm of a classic heartthrob—without the messy hair situation. He’s got the non-shedding, low-maintenance coat of your dreams, which means your black leggings and furniture are safe from the usual furry fashion statement. And the name? Oh, he lives up to it. Stud Muffin may be small, but he struts around like he just stepped off the cover of 'GQ: Goodest Boys Edition.' Whether he’s trotting down the sidewalk on his leash or lounging in a sunbeam, this little guy exudes big main-character energy. A Day in the Life of Stud Muffin 7:00 AM – Wakes up in his cozy crate, stretching like a yoga instructor before calmly waiting for his morning potty break. No frantic barking, no chaos—just pure gentleman behavior. 7:30 AM – Breakfast time! Stud Muffin politely enjoys his meal (no wild gobbling, thank you very much) and then decides how to spend his morning—either hanging out near his humans or retreating back to his crate for a post-breakfast power nap. Midday – Walk time! Stud Muffin walks like a dream, making him the perfect strolling companion for people who enjoy peaceful, drama-free outings. He loves meeting new dogs and will greet them like a tiny diplomat, full of curiosity and tail wags. Afternoon – Sunbathing and toy time. He’s a big fan of playing fetch and always keeps his favorite toy nearby (because what if a game breaks out unexpectedly?). If you have a comfy couch or a cozy spot by a window, that’s where you’ll find him soaking up the good life. 6:00 PM – Dinner, followed by another leisurely walk where he insists on meeting all the neighbors and making sure everyone knows he exists. Evening – Wind-down time. Stud Muffin snuggles up near his humans but isn’t a clingy shadow—he enjoys his personal space but also enjoys being adored from a respectable distance. What Makes Stud Muffin Special? When Stud Muffin first arrived, he was a little shy—like a nervous first date, not sure what to do with his paws. But with love, patience, and a few confidence-boosting belly rubs, he has blossomed into a loving, playful, and sweet-natured companion. He’s fully potty trained and can hold it like a champ, even when the weather is less than ideal. (Rain? No, thank you. He’ll wait it out, please.) Stud Muffin would thrive in a home that appreciates his low-key, charming presence. He’s great with other easygoing dogs and would do well in a household with older kids or adults who understand that true gentlemen need a little peace and quiet. So, if you’re looking for a tiny, sophisticated gentleman with a heart of gold and the perfect balance of independence and affection, Stud Muffin is your guy. Apply today—because this handsome little heartthrob won’t be single for long! February 15, 2025, 12:03 am

Story
Meet Worf StarTrek! Worf is a 9 month old NEUTERED MALE Maltese Mix that came to us back in August from San Jose Animal Services. He is fully vaccinate, microchipped and parasite free.   Worf StarTrek is Back & Looking for His True Forever Home   Worf, our little miracle survivor, has returned to us after struggling with his adoptive siblings. While his recovery from devastating burns was nothing short of incredible, his early start in life left him missing some crucial lessons in how to "speak dog." Worf was an abandoned, underage singleton puppy—taken from his mom and littermates far too soon. This lack of early socialization means he never got the chance to learn the dog-to-dog manners that puppies pick up from their families. Now, he has a tendency to be pushy and struggle with appropriate play and boundaries. This is why puppies should NEVER leave their moms before 8 weeks old—ideally 10-12 weeks. Keeping them together isn't just about cuteness; it's about teaching them how to be dogs. The only reason a breeder, rescue, or private party would separate them early is profit. Because Worf missed this critical development time, we now have to work ten times harder to help him learn those skills—or find him a home where a confident, no-nonsense dog can teach him what his littermates couldn't. It's always hard to see an animal come back, but we are committed to finding Worf the right forever home. If you think your home could be his, please reach out. And if you ever see puppies being offered under 8 weeks old, know that they are being set up for a harder road—just like Worf. In the meantime, we'll be working with Worf to get him adoption ready. We'd like to do a DNA analysis to learn more about his breed. Donate here if you'd like to contribute to his care or the DNA test.  https://www.beourpet.org/donations.php  Help us find Worf his perfect match! Share, apply, or just help spread the word about the importance of early puppy socialization.  We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish  February 7, 2025, 11:29 pm
