Looking for a hypoallergenic heartthrob who won’t leave your clothes looking like a shaggy carpet? Well, you’ve found him. Stud Muffin is a 5-6 year old, 15 pound Silky Terrier who has all the charm of a classic heartthrob—without the messy hair situation. He’s got the non-shedding, low-maintenance coat of your dreams, which means your black leggings and furniture are safe from the usual furry fashion statement. And the name? Oh, he lives up to it. Stud Muffin may be small, but he struts around like he just stepped off the cover of 'GQ: Goodest Boys Edition.' Whether he’s trotting down the sidewalk on his leash or lounging in a sunbeam, this little guy exudes big main-character energy. A Day in the Life of Stud Muffin 7:00 AM – Wakes up in his cozy crate, stretching like a yoga instructor before calmly waiting for his morning potty break. No frantic barking, no chaos—just pure gentleman behavior. 7:30 AM – Breakfast time! Stud Muffin politely enjoys his meal (no wild gobbling, thank you very much) and then decides how to spend his morning—either hanging out near his humans or retreating back to his crate for a post-breakfast power nap. Midday – Walk time! Stud Muffin walks like a dream, making him the perfect strolling companion for people who enjoy peaceful, drama-free outings. He loves meeting new dogs and will greet them like a tiny diplomat, full of curiosity and tail wags. Afternoon – Sunbathing and toy time. He’s a big fan of playing fetch and always keeps his favorite toy nearby (because what if a game breaks out unexpectedly?). If you have a comfy couch or a cozy spot by a window, that’s where you’ll find him soaking up the good life. 6:00 PM – Dinner, followed by another leisurely walk where he insists on meeting all the neighbors and making sure everyone knows he exists. Evening – Wind-down time. Stud Muffin snuggles up near his humans but isn’t a clingy shadow—he enjoys his personal space but also enjoys being adored from a respectable distance. What Makes Stud Muffin Special? When Stud Muffin first arrived, he was a little shy—like a nervous first date, not sure what to do with his paws. But with love, patience, and a few confidence-boosting belly rubs, he has blossomed into a loving, playful, and sweet-natured companion. He’s fully potty trained and can hold it like a champ, even when the weather is less than ideal. (Rain? No, thank you. He’ll wait it out, please.) Stud Muffin would thrive in a home that appreciates his low-key, charming presence. He’s great with other easygoing dogs and would do well in a household with older kids or adults who understand that true gentlemen need a little peace and quiet. So, if you’re looking for a tiny, sophisticated gentleman with a heart of gold and the perfect balance of independence and affection, Stud Muffin is your guy. Apply today—because this handsome little heartthrob won’t be single for long! March 6, 2025, 12:59 pm

Story
Meet Alex! Alex is a delightful 4-month-old puppy looking for his forever family. He got a rough start in life, given away far too young in front of a convenience store in Fresno. Thankfully, a kind soul intervened, keeping Alex and his siblings safe with their mama. Now thriving in foster care in the Bay Area, Alex is ready to find a home filled with love and adventure. This adorable, likely Shih Tzu-dachshund mix weighs about 6 pounds and is expected to grow to 14 pounds or less, just like his mama, a dachshund Chiweenie. While his dad is a mystery, he must have had some non-shedding genes, giving Alex a low-shed coat that doesn’t require professional grooming but will benefit from regular brushing. Personality & Looks: Alex is one of the two boys in the litter, with a striking salt-and-pepper coat that’s primarily black. He’s spunky, affectionate, and loves to wrestle and play. Alex is dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly, making him a wonderful fit for many family dynamics. He’s almost ready to start formal training and walks and will thrive in a home that provides structure, time, and plenty of opportunities for playtime. Alex would do best in a home with another dog to learn from and keep him entertained, as he’s happiest with a constant play companion. We’re looking for a family who: - Has the time and resources to commit to training and socialization. - Doesn’t work 8-hour days outside the home. - Has a yard for Alex to romp in. Alex has come so far and deserves the very best. If you’re ready for unconditional love and puppy antics, Alex might be your perfect match! In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to. All our dogs undergo comprehensive vetting, including spaying/neutering, microchipping, DHPP, flea treatment, deworming, and Rabies vaccinations. Story
Meet Ziggy – The Adorable Shih Tzu Mix! Ziggy is a one-year-old, 10-pound Shih Tzu mix with a funny little underbite and a heart full of love! This non-shedding boy is as cute as they come and will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. When Ziggy first arrived at the shelter, he was in horrible shape—overgrown, matted, and suffering from skin irritation. But thanks to love and care, he’s blossoming into a happy, confident pup! While he can be a little shy at first, he quickly wiggles with excitement when meeting new people. Ziggy adores other dogs, is good with cats and kids, and is steadily gaining confidence every day. He’s still working on house and crate training, and it’s likely that his previous home didn’t provide much structure or even let him inside. Now that he’s experiencing life as a cherished house dog, he’s thriving in foster care and loving every minute of it! This little guy would do best in a home with a yard to continue his potty training and would love a family that enjoys going for walks. He’s perfect for someone committed to his success through training and socialization. Whether it’s traveling, riding in the car, sunbathing, cuddling, or adventuring on walks, Ziggy is ready to be your loyal companion. He may gain another two to three pounds as he fills out, but he will always be the perfect small-sized pup to fit into your life and heart. Ready to give Ziggy the loving home he deserves?
