Meet Peep, an eight year old Siamese mix weighing 16 pounds. Peep was brought in to our spay and neuter clinic to be euthanized by his owners for issues that are commonly seen with declawed cats as they age. This harmful practice of removing not just their claws but also bone to the first knuckle often causes pain and arthritis as well as a sense of insecurity in cats. Peep is declawed in his front paws and is looking for a home that understands the potential health and behavioral issues that come along with this. Peep can be a very sweet boy when he is confident and comfortable. We are looking for someone who is willing to give this sweetheart a second chance at life as he deserves. Sweet Ollie was the kitten of one of my adopted cats. He was born 5/3/2020. He is very independent and keeps to himself mostly, but is also very curious about new people and things in the house. I am looking into rehoming him as I have a 2 year old who doesn’t respect his boundaries. My son is not gentle and has been scratched a couple of times because of approaching to fast and not touching gently. I fear that there will be a time I don’t intervene in time and my kid gets more seriously hurt, which wouldn’t be a good situation for either. I would suggest a home with gentle or older children. We have a big old dog and he is fine around him as well as 2 other cats he is fine around.
