Story
Pearl is a beautiful seal lynx point siamese with crystal blue eyes.  She was found abandoned in Houston and rescued by a local family who then contacted Austin Siamese Rescue.  She came to us with her four kittens and was a wonderful mama.  She is currently living in a foster home with other kitties and dogs.  Pearl has lived with her foster family to learn to be a loved family member.  Prior to being rescued, Pearl did not have a good reason to trust people.  She has slowly copied some of her foster siblings to learn to like attention and petting.  She is comfortable with dogs and meets other cats comfortably.  She has made kitty friends in her foster home.  In the past few weeks, she has finally started to approach people for attention and petting, but she can still get anxious. Pearl will be so rewarding to help as she learns more and more to love and trust people.  You can tell she really loves petting and attention but is still anxious.  She will be able to join a home with other pets.  She will need patience to settle into her new home but she will bond closely to a person when she finally has her own family to cuddle and connect with. ##1988082##

Story
Dashi and her daughter Miso II have been surrendered by their owner and are looking for their forever home with a special family.   Dashi is a 4 year old Lynx Point Siamese that had a rough start in life. She was abandoned to survive the outdoors while pregnant. She became a part of the ASR family shortly before giving birth in 2021 to 4 beautiful kitties. She was the greatest Mom to those kitties her fosters had ever seen and even took in two orphaned kittens who were looking for a Mom.    Dashi can take a little time to trust but once she has warmed up to her new enviroment, she is a real gem. Sweet and affectionate, she seeks pets and belly rubs from her humans and loves to snuggle up at bedtime. She is not a lap cat but is very loving. She tolerates children but would do better with older children and adults.    Dashi is FIV positive and FIV-positive housecats rarely show any symptoms of the disease and usually live long, happy lives. FIV is not spread by casual contact. There is no medication or special treatment needed FIV positive kitties.  ##1967222##

As a courtesy listing, Austin Siamese Rescue is not associated with this listing other than providing an avenue to assist cat owners/rescuers in finding loving, responsible homes for their pets.  Please contact the caretaker/foster directly:  savvasbecky@sbcglobal.net Meet Gino--Currently residing in Del Valle Sadly, I think it may be best to rehome Gino. My daughter and I combined households and cats, and he is not happy. It’s been since last August, I’ve tried everything. He is an indoor only cat, and will be 13 this year. He needs to be an only pet, and best to have only older children. He is not a lap cat, but will lay next to you. He loves one on one attention, and grooming. I have always kept him on prescription Hills Science Diet Calming formula to prevent urinary problems as male cats are prone to. I give a little Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult chicken wet food once a day. I have always used world’s best cat litter (it lasts forever when scooped frequently!).I have had him since he was a kitten, I want him to live the rest of his life in peace. $25 rehoming fee. In Del Valle, Travis County. ***5/24 update: some time after this post he starting to pee inappropriately, but also still in litter box. He’s had a full check up with labs. He looks actually pretty good overall. He does have some protein in his urine, a once a day med will prevent any further kidney damage. His blood pressure is good, his teeth look good (greenie dental treats)etc. I am giving him that pill with a behavioral pill in a greenie pill pocket. The marking/peeing seems to have stopped. He never stopped using the litter box, peed in it always too.I feel he could still thrive in a quiet home as a solo cat.  Austin Siamese Rescue assumes no responsibility for the veracity of the listing or the conduct of the caretaker in the listing. ##2063587##

Story
We’d like to welcome your majesty Prince Harry 2! Harry is smart and curious like most Siamese. He enjoys giving royal announcements (aka talking to you when he has something to say). His favorite hobbies include lounging in the sun, playing with cat toys, and spending time with his brother Prince William. He is a scaredy cat who will hide from new people, but come out once he gets to know you.  Harry loves other friendly cats.  He enjoys playing with wand toys and will hang out with his foster nearby.  This sweet boy is not ready to be pet, but will eat Churu treats from his foster's fingers. Harry is looking for a patient adopter who will shower him with lots of love and help him continue to come out of his shell.  With time, we are confident that this sweet Prince will become a loyal companion for the right adopter. ##2004991##

Story
Rory is a gorgeous tortie point siamese with an interesting color pattern. She is a young kitty, a little over 1 year old. She is generally calm but has her playful moments too. Rory likes toys, but mostly likes to chill in front of the window and watch the going-ons of the neighborhood.  Rory is shy in the begining because her eyesight is not sharp. She sees things more clearly when they are close. Rory is fine with other gentle cats in the house. Rory likes cuddles and she purrs loud when she starts feeling safe. Rory likes her food, wet and dry, and she is easy to please. She is also a very clean kitty. All Rory needs is a chance to feel safe and show her sweet gentle character. Rory started to form a friendship with Candi, another ASR kitty. It will be great for the both of them to be adopted together. ##2077472##

Story
Salem is a beautiful seal point boy. He initially came to us from a breeder who mistakenly though he was a she. It was quite the surprise to find out he was an already neutered male. Salem hides when new people come over. He will need an owner who will love him from the pictures and description. He is comfortable hanging around humans and will follow them around when he wants love. He literally flops on the floor to be pet. He would be perfect as an only cat as he is selective about the company he keeps. His adopter will need to new cat introduction process to have the best relationship with this guy. It took about 2 weeks for him to become comfortable with us as we would come in the room and pet him. (The pink collar in the photos is from the breeder and before we realized Salem was a boy.) He is estimated to be approximately 2 years old. He gets along well with my pomeranians and with the bigger cats in the house. He is a medium size boy at 11.5 pounds. He is fostered in Kyle, Tx. ##2131315##
