Story
London is a beautiful and sweet girl with amazing blue eyes. She's already spayed and current on shots. She's good with other cats, and has been around dogs. She loves to play with toys and plays on a cat tree. She's amazing with kittens!! She had a kitten of her own when she came into Rescue, and took in 2 other kittens. She treated them like they were her own. She incredibly sweet and very smart. If you like to come meet her, go to ready2rescue.org and fill out the adoption application. It says dog, but just put her name in and we'll know who it's for. For questions, call Jackie at 214-681-5963.

Story
Meet Frankie! This adorable, spirited girl is looking for her forever home and is ready to bring lots of personality and love into your life. Frankie is a big, sweet chunk of joy who thrives as an only kitty, and she’s eager to be the queen of her castle. While her previous home had to let her go due to allergies, Frankie is now searching for a family that understands her unique needs.Frankie does well with most dogs, as long as they respect her space, but she’s definitely not a fan of other cats—she wants all your attention to herself! She can be a little shy at first and takes her time adjusting to new people or changes in her environment, but once she settles in, she’ll be your best friend. Frankie is affectionate, loves being in the same room as her humans, and will shower you with cuddles and attention. She’ll let you know exactly what she wants with her sweet meows—whether it’s for more love, food, or a cozy spot to nap!Frankie would thrive in an active home with adults or older children who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. She does best in a calm, secure environment and can be a bit stressed in high-energy situations, so she’s not the best fit for young kids. Frankie is a cat that will bond deeply with her humans and, in return, offer plenty of snuggles and affection. With a bit of patience and experience handling a cat with a strong personality, you’ll see the loving, loyal companion that Frankie can be.Plus, Frankie is no slouch when it comes to guarding her territory—she’ll let you know if there’s an intruder (no joke!). If you`re looking for a fun, feisty, and devoted cat to call your own, Frankie might just be the perfect fit. Could you be the one to give her a loving home where she can truly thrive?

Story
Tira is just under 3 years old, gets along great with us, our kids, our other cat, and our birds, but she will not get along with the dog. We have tried separating their space, giving them as much room away from each other as possible, but if she feels like the dog has been in her space, she will act out. This can be up to the rare case of using the bathroom outside the litter box or general misbehaving, like knocking things off the counter directly above the dog bed, and that is the reason we are looking to rehome her. She is very sweet and snuggly and great with our kids. Most of the time, she is either playing with one of her many toys or sleeping as cats do. We are sad to make the decision to let her go, but when she has decided that the dog is too much for her by existing, she seems very stressed, and we do not want that for any of the animals.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com Crystal is a beautiful Blue Point Applehead Siamese, which means her head is round vs what people think of as a "Siamese cat". Crystal is very playful and enjoys all kinds of toys. She is SUPER affectionate and loves human attention. She enjoys being petted and likes being held. She would LOVE a forever home with a person who is home all day. She thrives with love and attention, and has really been enjoying helping her foster mom work from home. Crystal is blind in one eye and she was likely born that way. It doesn't impact her quality of life and there's nothing medically that needs to be done. Crystal does have a history of being in a multi-cat home; however, we do believe she would love to be an only kitty and have all the attention lavished upon her. Crystal ended up in rescue because her owner passed away so she's had a LOT of change in her life lately! Crystal is FIV+. If you're not familiar with FIV, it stands for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). It is a virus that is not transmittable to other species and only spread from cat-to-cat via blood - so deep bite wounds. It does not negatively affect a cat's life or lifespan, nor does it impact their quality of life. It's really important that if an FIV+ cat shows signs of illness, they are taken to the vet immediately as they can take a bit longer to recover. Additionally, when FIV+ cats are taken for yearly check-ups at the vet, it’s important that their teeth are also checked as some FIV+ cats can have above average dental disease. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please contact NTCR AT 214.454.9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.November 21, 2024, 10:59 am

Story
Please text 214 621 1139 if you wish to get a Meet and Greet form for this kitty. Our sweet boy, Odin, is a gentle giant. This kitty was rescued from a harsh life on the streets, along with a companion, Cashmere. We knew right way Odin is a big lover of a kitty as he gives the most forceful head butts and his purrs can be heard across the room. Odin has beautiful gleaming blue eyes that peered up at the world with full love and trust. He appears to always be content with whatever the world deals him and takes life leisurely. He loves getting and giving attention to his foster parents and he happily gets along with everyone in the home. When he first came into foster care, he was a bit apprehensive and waited under a tiny table, thinking he was well hidden from sight. With his big butt sticking out, he cautiously peeped and watched while his street companion, Cashmere, explored the surroundings with ease and confidence. Once food was served, Odin realized he better scuttle out from under the table and get his fair share before the voracious Cashmere inhaled it all. This big fellow will make a wonderful life companion to the lucky household that gets him. We are selectively looking for a wonderful home for him to join. We hope that he will get to go with the stunning Cashmere, who regularly grooms him to keep him looking his very best.

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS* This is Jonah, a most handsome 2 year old Seal Point Siamese mix male. Jonah was living as a stray outside at an apartment complex. He and some of his good buddies were being fed by a good Samaritan. The lady that fed him thought he was too nice to be living outdoors, so she contacted NBCR for help finding Jonah a home. We are very glad she did! Jonah is extremely shy when you first meet him, but he gradually warms up to you and enjoys getting pets and ear rubs, and will purr in gratitude. He sure seems to like life on the inside, with a steady supply of food and naps. Jonah has tested positive for both the FIV and feline leukemia virus. Both are viruses that can impact longevity, mainly the leukemia virus. To be clear, he does not have leukemia, but carries the virus that may cause cancer in the future. Cats with this virus generally don't live a long life, maybe up to 5-6 years, although we've known a few cats that have lived to be 8 years old. (Please see links below for more resources.) Jonah is currently healthy and feeling well, and had no problem recovering from his neuter surgery or receiving vaccinations. He doesn't currently require any medication and, for the foreseeable future, should be able to live life just like a regular cat. He's a good-natured boy that take it all in stride! Jonah is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.
