Story
Introducing the amazing JJ, a beautiful blue point Siamese mix male estimated to be one to two years old DOB about 1/1/22 or 1/1/23). He came to us because his mom went where she couldn't take any of the cats. He may be a mix, but he doesn't know it. He checks all the boxes for a Siamese: he talks a lot, loves his humans, and is very interactive. He's an eager lap cat, too. He's only just completed his vetting and quarantine, so he hadn't met our other cats, but there were plenty where he came from. We're pretty sure that dogs and nice children would appeal to him too.  JJ has been tested for Felv/FIV, vaccinated for distemper and rabies, wormed, treated for fleas, microchipped, neutered, and had a dental.  He’s healthy, happy, and ready for a new permanent home.  If interested in this handsome devil, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net.  We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.January 3, 2025, 4:43 pm

Story
This sweet boy needs a quiet long-term foster or adoptive home, with not a lot of excitement. He is super loving, likes to be brushed and is very laid back. His main need is a consistent routine of his meds and food. His meds (oral) are about $15-20 a month and his food about $40 a month. He is fed both wet and dry rx food. His condition is called mega-colon and it is very well controlled. He uses the litter box just fine. He is a wonderful cat, about 17 pounds and a Maine Coon/ Siamese mix and is front paw declawed. He is almost 8 years old. He deserves a good loving home, will it be yours?

Story
Currently located in: Winterport, ME! Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!) Good with dogs: No, she is not fond of canine friends.... Good with cats: Toast would prefer to be the only kitty, but yes, as always a proper slow introduction will be required as with any other kitties being introduced to a home. Please refer to https://www.jacksongalaxy.com/blog/the-dos-and-donts-of-introducing-cats/ Good with kids: Yes, she does fine with kids but because of anxiety we would recommend a calmer household! Litter box trained: She's working really hard on training, does well in small spaces but has some accidents when open to full house as she has some anxiety! Meet Toast! Toast was found abandoned and left to fend for herself. We quickly took her in and worked on finding her a home. Toast was adopted, but has since been surrendered as the home is not the right fit for her. Toast has anxiety and needs a more calm and quiet environment to thrive vs the busy home she is in now. Toast does well with other kitties that are mild in behavior. She 100% poops in the litter box but sometimes has pee accidents if overwhelmed. She does very well when she is in a smaller space with all of her things and does not have potty accidents in those settings. Toast is affectionate and sweet! She enjoys being pet, playing and eating all the snacks! Lounging in the sun is a great past time and she is just a great cat overall! If you think you are the right home for her, please apply to adopt them here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! The adoption fee is $325. We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members. Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. Please apply quickly if you are interested. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! For more photos, or information on upcoming adoption events where you can meet them, please go to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/whiskersfund Thank you for helping to save lives!
