Story
Meet Tova! This stunning 2-year-old Siamese girl is the full package—beauty, brains, and boundless energy. Tova is an outgoing, affectionate adventurer who loves climbing high, chasing wand toys, and keeping an eye on the world from her favorite perch. She’s curious and playful, and she’ll gladly accept cheek scratches once she’s gotten her zoomies out.Tova would thrive in a home that offers plenty of room to explore and humans who enjoy interactive play. She can be selective with other cats but does warm up given time and proper introductions. While she hasn’t met dogs or kids, she may do fine with calm, respectful children—ideally 12+—and quieter dogs, as she can get startled by loud noises or rough play.Because of her high energy, Tova may occasionally get overstimulated, which can lead to a playful nip. With a patient, understanding adopter, she’ll blossom into a delightful, loyal companion. We also think she would love harness training and could make a fantastic adventure cat for the right person!Tova is one of our CATalyst cats—cats who help us catalyze change in our community. At Ten Lives, we’re committed to saving the most at-risk cats, many of whom require extensive medical care and long stays in foster homes. By choosing to adopt a high-demand cat like Tova, you're not only giving her the loving home she deserves—you’re also helping to fund care for more vulnerable cats, like our Forgotten Felines. Thank you for helping us continue our life-saving work!___________________________CATalyst cats:At Ten Lives, we believe in saving the most at-risk cats of our community. Many times, these cats require extraordinary medical care and extensive stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don’t think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other cats who are in high demand–such cats aid us in catalyzing change within our community. When you adopt a CATalyst cat, you aren’t just providing a forever home for them; you’re helping many other cats at Ten Lives, like our Forgotten Felines!Thank you for allowing us to continue our life-saving work!___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Story
Meet Chewy – Your Chatty, Charming Companion! Hello, furiends! Who here is looking for a super sweet, friendly, affectionate, vocal, attention-seeking feline friend? Well, you found him! Chewy! (We can't even say his name without smiling!) Chewy is a darling 3.5-year-old Siamese mix with a stunning lynx point coat and mesmerizing blue eyes. Have you ever seen a cat so skilled at smizing for pictures? Tyra would be so proud! He’s not shy around humans and absolutely loves attention. Chewy craves companionship, and because he’s so vocal, you can be sure he’ll always have something to say—get ready for some cat-tastic conversations! However, Chewy needs an experienced owner who understands that he can get overstimulated and may bite when he’s had enough. It’s important to be able to read his signals and walk away when he’s reaching his limit. With the right person who respects his boundaries, he’ll be an affectionate and devoted companion. Be sure to keep extra toys around for this active boy! We are unsure how Chewy would do in a home with dogs or young children. He tolerates the company of other cats but prefers his personal space, so he’d likely thrive as an only cat. If you’re looking for a charismatic, chatty best friend and have the experience to understand his needs, Chewy just might be your perfect match! Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If this post is still up, we are still accepting applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). There's no need to email us about availability, just submit an application if you're interested! For more information about our adoption process, please visit our website: https://scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/about-adoption/ All adoption fees include: - Spay/neuter surgery Adoption Process - Microchip - Rabies and distemper vaccinations - Proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing - Flea treatment & deworming - A veterinary exam Please Note: Scruffy Paws operates by appointment only and is not open to the public.
