Story
About Optimus Prime: Meet Optimus Prime, affectionately called “Little Guy” by his foster mom.  He is a charming little Siamese mix with a little bit of a squirrel spirit! This shy little guy is looking for a patient, loving, and low key forever home. OP will take time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he will give you the cutest slinky body movements you’ve ever seen and let you know how much he loves his belly and ear rubs. He enjoys cozy spots to curl up in and playtime with his foster friends.  He also LOVES to stand in the water bowl while drinking :D Ideal Home: Optimus Prime would thrive in a calm and quiet environment, preferably with experienced cat owners who understand the needs of a skittish kitten. A home with older children or a quiet adult only household would be ideal. He would benefit from a patient family willing to put in the time and effort he needs to feel safe and secure.  Special Needs: Optimus Prime requires a little extra time to adjust to his new surroundings. Providing him with safe spaces, such as a cozy bed and a hiding place in a quiet room, will help him feel more comfortable. He would do best having another furry playmate that can teach him how to be a cat and help him come out of his shell.  He likely will never be a cuddly lap cat despite his love for Churu treats and head scratches. History: Optimus Prime was born outdoors in a busy neighborhood.  The person feeding him, his mom, and sibling opened her door one cold morning, and the family walked right in!  Rescue was contacted immediately and were able to bring the little family in.  All kitties were taken to the vet for spay/neuter and behavior assessment.  At first, it was thought there was no hope in taming Optimus Prime and he was scheduled to be released back to his familiar spot.  Lucky for him, the outside temperatures plummeted, and a decision was made to hold him until warmer weather.  His foster mom worked with him daily and then something in his head “clicked”.  His scared hisses and slaps turned into curiosity.  The first time he was touched, he basically melted because it was so nice!  He is still learning that people are not scary and his adopter will need to know and understand kitty speak to keep his progress going.  **All cats and kittens are provided age-appropriate vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV), spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and provided flea/tick prevention prior to adoption**no exceptions ##2277217##

NALA is beautiful on the outside but temperamental on the inside. Surrendered to the SCHS because she was combative with the other cat in the home, she is playful but will dictate when she wants what. She's definitely made progress at the SCHS, even wanting attention. Then, out of nowhere, she'll pop you to let you know she's done. She must go to an experienced cat owner and be an only cat. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Story
MATTHEW and Bianca were adopted as kittens within months of each other to the same person. She was heartbroken to have to return them for health reasons. Matthew started off as an interesting sepia and black kitten, only to transform into a mink or chocolate color with black points. He's a sweet boy, likes to be held and loves a cat buddy to play with. While these two are bonded, Matthew can sometimes play a little rough with Bianca. They always seem to kiss and make up, though. To be considered for either of these beauties, please submit an adoption application through stanlycountyhumanesociety.org. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet! Story
Beautiful Celeste has come a long way and has begun to trust us humans. She has made great progress.  She will be most happy in a home where she is treated gently,  by a family who understands cats. We recommend an adult only home. She gets along with other kittes and she and her brother, Simon, another lynxpoint, would be great together or as single pets. Celeste is a Lynxpoint cat.Tabby with lilac.  She has beautiful blue eyes and a short coat..  She is spayed, utd on vaccs and tested. Microchipped too.  She will do best if adopted by an experienced cat owner.  One who feels they are the cat whisperer.. Celeste is still learning to trust us but has made huge progress!!!! She is currently is  in a condo in our cat room  which allows us to pet her But once out of the cat room, it's  catch me if you can. Celeste has quite a bit of taming to do.  She still acts skittish with feral tendencies as she was not appropriately domesticated from the start. If a cat lover is willing to invest in the life of Celeste, a gorgeous cat who might  blossum in a home that  can give her time and be patient with her but accept her where she lands., we need to know.. ##1834390##
