About Optimus Prime:
Meet Optimus Prime, affectionately called “Little Guy” by his foster mom. He is a charming little Siamese mix with a little bit of a squirrel spirit! This shy little guy is looking for a patient, loving, and low key forever home. OP will take time to warm up to new people, but once he does, he will give you the cutest slinky body movements you’ve ever seen and let you know how much he loves his belly and ear rubs. He enjoys cozy spots to curl up in and playtime with his foster friends. He also LOVES to stand in the water bowl while drinking :D
Ideal Home:
Optimus Prime would thrive in a calm and quiet environment, preferably with experienced cat owners who understand the needs of a skittish kitten. A home with older children or a quiet adult only household would be ideal. He would benefit from a patient family willing to put in the time and effort he needs to feel safe and secure.
Special Needs:
Optimus Prime requires a little extra time to adjust to his new surroundings. Providing him with safe spaces, such as a cozy bed and a hiding place in a quiet room, will help him feel more comfortable. He would do best having another furry playmate that can teach him how to be a cat and help him come out of his shell. He likely will never be a cuddly lap cat despite his love for Churu treats and head scratches.
History: Optimus Prime was born outdoors in a busy neighborhood. The person feeding him, his mom, and sibling opened her door one cold morning, and the family walked right in! Rescue was contacted immediately and were able to bring the little family in. All kitties were taken to the vet for spay/neuter and behavior assessment. At first, it was thought there was no hope in taming Optimus Prime and he was scheduled to be released back to his familiar spot. Lucky for him, the outside temperatures plummeted, and a decision was made to hold him until warmer weather. His foster mom worked with him daily and then something in his head “clicked”. His scared hisses and slaps turned into curiosity. The first time he was touched, he basically melted because it was so nice! He is still learning that people are not scary and his adopter will need to know and understand kitty speak to keep his progress going.
**All cats and kittens are provided age-appropriate vaccines, combo tested (FIV/FELV), spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and provided flea/tick prevention prior to adoption**no exceptions
