Story
Tamale says: Hi, my name is Tamale. I'm a very sweet 2 year old boy with light orange hair and sharp blue eyes! My previous owners moved away and left me behind, so I'm looking for a new forever home! I love getting pets and rubbing against my foster parents. I'm a little afraid of dogs and haven't had a lot of exposure to other cats, but think I would do best in a quieter home. I have a loud purr when you pet me and I love to eat! I hope you get to meet me soon! This handsome flame-point boy doesn’t exactly live up to the Hot Tamale moniker – he’s more sweet than spicy! Tamale is a little bit shy, but once he warms up to you, he’s a real love bug. He’s always up for a good belly rub and shows his appreciation by rolling over and purring while he makes biscuits. Tamale is very curious and likes to play with the wand toy with feathers or the laser toy, but he never gets too rambunctious. He is such a calm, well-mannered little guy. He would be good with another cat to befriend him on his own with plenty of play time and stimulation. He hasn’t been around children yet, but he seems to like a quieter atmosphere. Needs a home without dogs. Come meet this very special boy with the gorgeous blue eyes!To meet Tamale and other adoptable Purr Partners kitties at one of our weekend adoptathon events, 1) review our adoption policies at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/policies/ and 2) then apply to become a pre-approved adopter today at https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/cats/For more information or to apply to adopt, please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Way back in 2015, lovely Sadie was found by one of our volunteers when they spied her next to a busy road. The volunteer stopped, gathered Sadie up, and carried her to safety. Sadie was so young, and small for her age, and obviously under-nourished. In her foster home she blossomed, and she was quickly adopted. Eight years passed, until one day her adopter contacted SG4F to let us know that she needed a new home for Sadie, as she traveled a lot and was unable to be at home to give Sadie the care and affection she deserved. Thankfully we had a new foster mom step up to take Sadie under her wing! Sadie has had all her medical care updated, including a full dental. (A number of her teeth are missing, due to age and neglect.) Sadie is also on a prescription diet of Hill's Science Diet CD to keep her from forming crystals in her urine. But Sadie is in good health, and she's a very loving, sweet little lady who thrives on lots of attention. She's a bit afraid of the dog in her foster home, but he's a big dog, so maybe a little one would be okay. She basically ignores other cats! She's a people-person. Apply to adopt at savinggraces4felines.org. The adoption fee is $95 in cash, and a good vet reference is required. Saving Graces 4 Felines adoptable cats are spayed or neutered, before adoption is finalized. They have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, are up to date on vaccines, and have been treated for worms and fleas. They have also been micro-chipped.

Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: Pointed- Seal Secondary Color: Cream Weight: 8.25 Age: 9yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Toby was found hanging out in a feral cat colony. The colony caretaker could tell he was just a bit scared and not feral. It only took a few hours after arriving in his foster home before he was relaxed and purring. He was rather subdued at first until he cleared quarantine and got out-of-the-crate privileges. He immediately started chasing and playing with the resident adult cats. He definitely needs an active playmate, so please consider adopting him with another Paw Prints kitten. He allows his foster mom to pick him up and love on him, and he's starting to learn how to come and ask for attention. He's very playful and loves feather toys, mice, etc. He has a very healthy appetite.  We think he's going to be a big guy.  Like any kitten/cat coming from a feral colony, he eats like every meal is going to be his last. All the more reason to keep him extremely active with a playmate.  For more information and to complete an online application, please visit www.pawprintsrescue.org December 15, 2024, 3:00 pm
