Story
To adopt from East Coast Maine Coon Rescue (ECMCR) please fill out our adoption application which can be found on our website: http://www.ecmcr.org/form_adoption_application.php NC - CP Sapphire: Sapphire was named for her gorgeous blue eyes. She was found living outside in the woods along with her 4 kittens, which was likely her first litter. Sadly, her kittens were taken by a predator, but she survived. Sapphire is a special needs kitty because she needs a special person who will help her along her road from semi feral recovery. She’s currently living inside and is still timid. She loves to be around other cats but would not suggest a home with dogs or small children. She needs someone that has time to spend with her and will give her the latitude to just “be” and progress on her own terms. Sapphire has a lot of potential but just needs the right person and a loving environment to learn to fully trust. She tries hard everyday.. Sapphire prefers to be an observer right now. She does love to chase the laser light and likes playing with balls that have bells. She also really enjoys the company of other cats. Sapphire is a Courtesy Post listing and does not belong to East Coast Maine Coon Rescue. For more information about Sapphire, please contact Gina at taffycatrescuer@gmail.com.  October 27, 2024, 12:11 pm

Story
Bear is an adult male Lilac point Siamese cat whom I've had since he was a baby. Unfortunately, I need to rehome him, as he is very unhappy sharing his home with 6 other feline friends. He mostly has an issue with the oldest male, who is an 11 year old senior. He is extremely loving towards humans and gets along great with my 3 dogs (one which is a Mastiff!) but needs to live in a household with fewer cats, where he is less stressed. He enjoys napping in the sun on his window perch during the day and sleeps in between me and my husband in bed every night.

Story
This absolutely stunning girl is a breed mix, she is a long hair siamses looking kitty. Left to fend for herself on the streets of Elizabeth for a year! Shocked no one ran off with this sweetie. She was fed but never sheltered. Thankfully we got her to safety. In foster care we have found that she loves passive laid back dogs. She enjoys sharing the same sleeping space as the family dog. She is "OK" with other cats but not as happy with them as she is with a dog pal. So we are looking for a nice laid back dog who is a cat friendly dog. That would be her and our ideal home for Cleo. If you have that type of home, EMAIL saracats.julia@gmail.com for an application. No adoptions over 30 miles from Union County NJ

Story
Cooper is a 6-month-old bundle of joy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This affectionate boy adores belly rubs, playing with his toys alongside his foster humans, and romping around with his best buddies, Ace and JoJo. He’s not just cute—he’s super smart, too! Cooper came to us in rough shape with an injured front paw. We don’t know how it happened, but despite his limp, he doesn’t let it slow him down one bit! He runs, jumps, and plays just like any other kitten. While there’s no treatment needed at this time, he may develop arthritis later in life—just like many cats do. This sweetheart absolutely loves other cats and would thrive in a home with a young feline friend. He should either be adopted into a home with another playful cat or go home with one of his buddies, Ace or JoJo. Cooper is ready to find his forever home where he’ll be showered with love, snuggles, and plenty of playtime. Could you be the one to give this sweet boy the happy ending he deserves? 💙

Story
Ash is a big beautiful boy who loves to cuddle. He came to Cameron Animal Hospital with his sister Nova. They arrived scared and traumatized by the change, but with time and care they are doing wonderfully, and are now ready to find their forever homes. Ash may look big and brave, but this sensitive boy is often scared of new places and people, and needs a little bit of time to adjust. Once he is comfortable he is friendly, sweet, and incredibly affectionate. He loves to be cuddled and held, and is excellent with other animals. Ash is generally healthy, but he does require prescription food to prevent urinary crystals. This is a lifelong, strict requirement- he cannot eat any other food or treats. He is FeLV/FIV (-/-); has been fecal tested and prophylactically dewormed; has received a full series of FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; and is neutered and microchipped. Ash and Nova get along well and can be adopted together; but they are not highly bonded and can be adopted separately. Ash has not been tested with dogs. He is good with children, but due to his nervousness in new situations, young hyper children are not a good fit. More than anything, Ash wants a family who will cuddle him and give him time and attention. Email CAHadoptions@gmail.com for more information.
