Story
[urgent] [bonded pair must be adopted together] Save us from shelter surrender! Fluff and Tuff are 2 year old females who love each other and need a lot of care and patience but bring joy to everyone who takes the time to understand them. They love playing with each other and chasing toys around with you. They nap on laps, cat trees, and soft pillows with the sweetest faces. They love climbing (cat tree included) and telling you the news of the day. They're healthy, sweet, playful sisters. Tuff is super smart and can solve puzzle toys while Fluff is crosseyed and a little slow but very good at biscuit making! Tuff has hyperesthesia that causes her to hiss at her tail sometimes, but prozac reduces the incidents. Owner loves them to bits and would die for them but is moving abroad for school and cannot take them with them! ISO a loving and doting home!

Story
Petite beauty, Ruby Doo spent the pre-rescue early months of her life scraping by on the streets as a young mother and has recently made the transition to a loving, indoor snuggle bug. Though she can seem shy at first, her flirty and playful personality blooms immediately when she feels safe in her new environment. She speaks with demure and expressive little mews when she needs something. She loves jazz standards and cozy blankets. And while she’d appreciate constant attention she’s more than happy to just be in the room near you.  The joy of playing with toys is new to her and she’s becoming more skillful every day. And for a Churu treat she will try just about anything. Ruby waits patiently for food to be prepared and after a meal she loves nothing more than to settle in for a luxurious, lap cuddle session. She’ll gaze up at you with slow blinking, ice blue eyes and reach up to your face between making biscuits. She comes when called for and will either follow you around for the next activity or lead you to what she has planned.  Ruby is patient, polite, sweet, curious, funny and gentle. She will make a wonderful companion for a household who enjoys life’s quiet moments.  Ruby Doo is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, treated for parasites,  tested negative FeLV. She is positive for FIV,  but asymptomatic - meaning she has a clean bill of health and will just need the same routine annual vet visits that all cats should receive.   If you would like to meet this sweet girl submit an adoption application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/           Ready to welcome this clever girl into your life?  Be sure to designate DanaH as the rescuer and Ruby Doo as the cat, contact Dana@BrooklynAnimalAction.org with any further inquiries. ------ (To learn more about FIV in cats, visit: https://www.humanesociety.org/news/fiv-positive-cats)  February 21, 2025, 5:10 pm

Story
Whole Grain Granola is the sweetest little lady I’ve had the pleasure to foster! She will sit near you and on you as much as you allow her, as my roommate likes to call her, she’s a velcro cat. She just wants to be near you and snuggling! She loves having her chin scratched and gentle pets on her body. She loves pate because she only has two or three little teeth. She has never bitten me or my roommate because she’s too sweet. She would love a forever home with a family who loves to cuddle and nuzzle her face all the time. She’s not a needy kitty, she’s just insanely loving. This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home. This cat is FIV+ and will live a normal healthy and long life when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exams (like any cat). As FIV+ is not transmittable between neutered/spayed cats under normal circumstances, we are happy for FIV+ cats to mingle with FIV- cats in their adoptive homes. This cat has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and would benefit from an echocardiogram -- we would appreciate it if their potential adopter could help us cover this cost in lieu of an adoption donation.November 5, 2024, 3:41 pm

Story
This absolutely stunning girl is a breed mix, she is a long hair siamses looking kitty. Left to fend for herself on the streets of Elizabeth for a year! Shocked no one ran off with this sweetie. She was fed but never sheltered. Thankfully we got her to safety. In foster care we have found that she loves passive laid back dogs. She enjoys sharing the same sleeping space as the family dog. She is "OK" with other cats but not as happy with them as she is with a dog pal. So we are looking for a nice laid back dog who is a cat friendly dog. That would be her and our ideal home for Cleo. If you have that type of home, EMAIL saracats.julia@gmail.com for an application. No adoptions over 30 miles from Union County NJ
