Story
Tut - Male DOB 4/7/2020 Domestic Short Hair - Seal Point Siamese Tut, a four-year-old Seal Point Siamese—affectionately nicknamed "Big Guy"—is a quiet and reserved boy who has been waiting for the right home to help him blossom. A bit shyer than his brothers Onkey and Ra, Tut has had a tough time finding his place. He had been picked on by his non-Siamese prior siblings and is slowly trying to come out of his shell. Tut would thrive in a tranquil, child-free, dog-free environment as the only cat, or he would also be fine with a mild mannered female or older male who does not have a dominant personality, where he can feel safe and secure. He needs an adopter who is home frequently and can dedicate time to help him feel comfortable. While it may take time for Tut to feel confident, those who understand the sensitive nature of Siamese cats know the incredible reward of earning their trust. Like his brothers, Tut came from a difficult situation where he wasn't given the socialization or attention he needed. He's a gentle soul who just needs a quiet, loving environment where he can feel safe to emerge and bond with his forever family. (If you're interested in a pair, Tut's brothers Onkey and Ra are available for adoption together.) Story
Ra - Male DOB 4/7/2020 Domestic Short Hair - Seal Point Siamese Onkey and Ra came to FuRRR over a year ago after being surrendered from a home where they were bullied by other cats and received little socialization. While their foster provided them a safe and loving environment, her busy schedule meant they didn’t always get the dedicated attention they needed to trust humans fully. Onkey and Ra are often seen snuggled up together, and now looking for a peaceful, child-free home with no other pets where they can feel secure and continue building their confidence. As Seal Point Siamese cats, Onkey and Ra are naturally curious, intelligent, and loyal, but they can also be sensitive and reserved, especially when they haven’t had much social interaction. Onkey is an athletic, smart boy who has made great strides in learning to trust people. Once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll melt into gentle back scratches and even belly rubs. His journey toward complete socialization has been slow but steady, and he’s eager to find a home where he can continue to thrive. Ra, Onkey’s bonded brother, is a bit more shy but equally sweet. He, too, enjoys pets and belly rubs, but he needs time to feel secure around new people. These four-year-old boys are looking for an adopter who understands the sensitive nature of Siamese cats and will give them time to settle in. At first, they may hide and take time to come out for attention, but they will come out of their shells with patience and love. They have already come so far and are ready to find their forever family. Could that be you? (Their brother Tut, who is equally sweet but a little more independent, is also available for adoption separately.) Story
Anna is a spayed female, most unusual looking, somewhat Siamese mix looking, very strikingly beautiful kitty, born on June 22, 2024! She is full of personality and loves to be held and cuddled by her people. Anna had a bad infection in her left eye and had to live at the vet clinic to be treated. Remarkably, and with much veterinary persistence, her eye was saved, but it is a little smaller than her other eye. Both eyes are smaller than the eyes of most cats. This does not in the least hinder Anna! Notice the usual markings on the tops of her ears. She is just waiting now for the perfect home! The adoption fee is $200. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.November 8, 2024, 8:59 am
