Story
Meet Sameeze! He is the most loving little soul Ive ever rescued. He would make a great therapy cat. If he could be with me every minute of the day he would love it. I rescued him about 3 years ago after he had been abandoned. We think he is currently about 8 years old. I recently got divorced and now I'm in an apartment. The proximity to me other cats it to much for him and he's really aggravated with the other cats. He needs to be an only cat. I do think he would do ok with a well behaved dog. He does good with kids to. He never scratches on anything either, so if you want a cat but are worried about your furniture he would be a great cat. He needs regular brushing but he loves it so it makes it easy. He also needs regular nail trims but tolerates it well. Hes a pretty easy guy, but does need lots of love and attention. Hes a little bit talkative, mostly just in the morning when he wants food. Not as talkative as a traditional simese.

Story
Viola came into rescue with her brothers and sister, Hamlet, Macbeth and Viola, at only four weeks of age. We were stunned by how social they all were from the very beginning, even after losing their mom tragically. Viola has acted as the spokesperson for the group, never being afraid to share what’s on her mind. She purrs when you pick her up and enjoys a good lap. Viola is looking for a home with her sister, Juliet since they can often be found playing and cuddling together. Gibson…named after Mel…because of his blue eyes he is looking for his forever home! He’s about 13-14 weeks old. He’s a little shy at first, but as soon as you pick him up, he purrs like crazy! He loves to play with other kitties and is fine with the resident dog. He would thrive better in a home without little kiddos.September 6, 2024, 2:53 pm

Story
Rocco is a very talkative and loving cat. He was our baby before we had kids and is jealous and attention hungry. We would rather he could live with someone who has the time to give him the love he deserves. He is very beautiful and so sweet.

Story
we originally got kenny from a shelter in 2019. he was noted to have been a clearly domesticated cat that had found himself amongst feral cats in a rural area. they assumed he must have escaped and never found his way back home. they estimated him about 2 years old when we got him. he is a very sweet and gentle natured cat. he does not like overly loud environments but he is very personable and affectionate and likes to sit with you and keep you company. he likes to sit by the window and soak up the sun. would really love to see kenny go to a home that is calm and loving. he is used to living with other cats but may take some time to get adjusted. other cats with a calm demeanor, probably his age or older, would be best. he gets anxiety with a lot of rambunctiousness.

Story
Solstice is an amazing and beautiful kitten! She is very affectionate and playful. Solstice tested positive for feline leukemia on intake to Helping Strays. While she is healthy today, it is impossible to know how much time she has before her quality of life could be affected. It could be months or years. Regardless of how much quality time she has, we think she deserves a loving home. If you think you might be the person to give her that home, please contact Helping Strays. Solstice needs to be an only cat or go to a home with another feline leukemia positive cat. Feline leukemia is not transmissible to dogs or humans. Here is a link to a feline leukemia fact sheet from Tree House Humane Society that may be helpful (you'll need to copy and paste)https://treehouseanimals.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/FeLV-Fact-Sheet-Public-1.pdf If you don't have another cat, or if you have a feline leukemia positive cat, and would like to meet her, we would love to talk with you.Solstice is nine months old.Location: Foster homeSoltice's adoption fee is $100. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. Please submit an application if you are interested in adopting. www.helpingstrays.org
