Story
Mochi is a strikingly gorgeous Flame Point Siamese with an endearingly fluffy tail! In addition to her good looks, she's the perfect kitten package - Mochi loves to play, snuggle, and relax! She likes to sleep with her humans in bed, and has done well in a foster home environment with other cats and kids. Mochi has had some skin issues in the past, we suspect likely due to food allergies. She is currently eating a prescription food and doing very well! Due to her health issue, her adopter MUST have a current cat and the adopter's vet must confirm that all vetting has been kept up to date throughout the cat's life. If you are seeing this profile, this animal IS still available! If you are interested in adopting, please do NOT email us or send us an inquiry - please just SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION!

Story
Meet Minion! Don’t let this RBF fool you… this guy is pure love! Which is quite surprising considering the tragic condition in which he was found. He was rescued from the streets of NY after having been hit by a car. His would was too severe to repair and he later had his back leg amputated at the hip. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he was diagnosed with both FIV and FeLV. After healing from that, he had to have the majority of his teeth pulled. But Minion has a fighter’s spirit and none of that has held him back. He is pure energy and a lover. He LOVES to play and run just like any other able bodied cat. He is a curious and outgoing guy who loves his people. He comes with a 100% guarantee to put a smile on your face! Since he is a bit clumsy, he can be a bit messy with the litter box. He requires and oversized box, or better yet, a box in a bathtub (which is his preference). He is also a tad messy when he eats due to his lack of teeth so best to use a heavy feeding and water bowl – ceramic works great – so it stays steady as he pigs out. He would do best in a home with no young children. He gets along fine with calm dogs. He will tolerate other cats (but they must be FeLV+) but prefers to be the center of your devotion. Like all Furever Home cats, Minion is FeLV positive. If you’d like to know more about him, email FureverHomeMD@gmail.comOctober 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
ADOPTION PENDING--please feel free to check back.  Hello! My name is Archie and I'm looking for a home where I will get lots of love and attention. And food. I love food.  I am a handsome flame point Siamese mix with a fluffy tail!  I have pretty blue eyes, and because my hair is longer than a Siamese, I might have some Balinese too.  My coat needs daily grooming to avoid getting the mats I had when I came into rescue. I love to be scratched, petted and brushed to avoid those icky mats. I follow my foster mom around the house to get attention; I just want to be loved!  I’m an older gentleman, and on my vet report card I got all A pluses.  When I came into rescue my teeth were in bad condition, as dental issues are common in my breed.  I’m like a new man now that I got them all removed!  The good news is, I’ll never need a dental again.  I love canned food, and treats.  Like churu, did I mention churu?  I was such a good boy for my photo session that I got a whole tube! If you look closely you’ll probably see some on my chin. My foster mom feeds me in a different room because I’ve been known to throw a paw at the other cats during feeding time; I just want them to know they can’t take my food!  Other than that I’ve been peacefully coexisting with the other cats in my foster home. I've been neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, am free of fleas and will be microchipped as part of the adoption process.  Overall I'm a chill, personable, and sometimes chatty guy (it’s in my genes) in search of that special person who will appreciate me, love me, and take good care of me. A special person with food. Does that sound like you?  Please call 410 880 2488 option #3 or Adopt@animal-advocates.org to discuss whether you are a good match for Archie, and whether Archie is a good match for you.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 26, 2024, 2:02 pm

Story
Salix is a very special flame point Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes, one of which has a scar from a corneal ulcer. Salix is the botanical name for pussy willow and they are very willow like in look and movement - sleek and graceful and full of love to give. Salix and siblings got off to a bad start. Their mom was a gentle girl who was on her own but being fed by a kind man who cared for the little family. However,  he was at a loss when they became sick with an upper respiratory and eye infections. By the time he found Sunshine's Friends and brought them to us the kittens really needed help. With proper treatment and good nutrition Salix and siblings bounced back pretty quickly but a few of the kittens had damage to their cornea. The family of kittens has been to our vet and all have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and given a clean bill of health. Salix and brothers are now ready to go to their forever homes and bring happiness to the lucky people who adopt them. ##2087648##
