Happy Cat is just that, a happy girl. She is 8 years old one picture is when I got her, she loves the dogs. And is a Siamese blue point. I would never consider finding a home for her except my younger cats are now pestering her. They jump on her and chase her around. She does like to stay in my bedroom but when she is in the cat box the other cats run her off, She eats well, and I will be worming my cats for they are due. If you choose, she does need her shots. Happy has lived in the house and has never been let outside. Please indoor home only. She loves to sleep on the bed but a nice cat bed she also likes. Specially a heated one for the winter. Pete is a 13-year-old senior cat looking for a quiet home and an owner to love him. His owner died and it’s been a big adjustment for him to move to a foster home with a lot of cats, some who bully him. Previously, he lived with one cat and several small dogs. Pete is shy with strangers and will likely hide, so he will probably do better in a calm environment. With his family, he wants attention. He’s not a lap cat, but he likes to be nearby and to be petted and have his head scratched. He likes to sleep on the bed near his person but he’s also known to find a cozy, hidden spot where he feels safe and nap there, too. Pete is a picky eater. He loves treats and seems to do best on a dry hairball food. Right now he’s shaved because he was matted. His new owner will need to brush him often. He mostly likes fish wet food but doesn’t always finish it. Pete has been around small kids but would do best in a quiet home with just adults and kids who visit. Pete was born approximately September14, 2012, and his adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend. Being tough has been my motto for a long time. I was a street cat years ago and had to search for food every single day. Life was hard. When I was pregnant, I found my way to Help Humane Because I started to trust the person who was feeding me outside. I had my babies and they found homes. I had a hard time switching from constantly being on guard to being able to be calm and settled. I have a history of being teased and tormented so I tend to react out of discomfort rather than immediately know that I am safe. Yes I do have a “tad bit” of Siamese sass, but there is another side to me that only a few select people get to see. One time, I was adopted by an older gentleman. He took time to get to know me. He was gentle. He believed in me. I adored him and would sit on his lap and shower him with my affection. Sadly, he was unable to continue caring for me and my family at Help Humane took me back. Sometimes I get overstimulated with all the commotion of new people walking around or noise…. That’s when my defensiveness comes out. I know that I am not for everyone and truthfully, everyone is not for me. I have a tiny amount of people who are in my friend circle. I have picked them very carefully. I know who I like and how I like to interact. I love to play with specifically chosen toys. I have my favorite beds. I like to eat snacks if they are properly offered to me. If you think you could accept me for me…. Come spend some time with me and see if we can become friends. When you join my inner circle, I will hop on your shoulder or lap… I weave in and out by your ankles and enjoy following you around. Let’s become friends first….. perhaps later we can be family.
