Siamese kittens & cats in Spirit Lake, Iowa

Lavendar was an unusual rescue who came to us from an organization that usually sends us baby dogs instead of adult cats. Our best estimate is that Lavendar was born around July of 2017. She’s friendly and affectionate, and her club foot doesn’t hinder her much. She managed to survive to 7 years old, but she will be so much better off with an indoor life of ease. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. ***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** This gorgeous guy is Cosmo! The luxurious fur you see in his photos really is super soft and silky to touch. He seems to like toys and definitely enjoys catnip, chin scritches, and food. He is a very affectionate cat however his real personality has been inhibited at the shelter because he doesn’t like having all the other cats around.  Some of that reaction could be due to the fact that he is front paw declawed.  We find that declawed cats are often on the offensive around other cats even if the other cats mean no harm. Cosmo's perfect home would be him as the only pet so that all of the attention could be lavished on HIM!  As with most long haired cats, he will need some assistance keeping his coat luxurious and free of mats and tangles so be sure you are up for regular brushing sessions. Cosmo is a large 6 year old that is neutered, declawed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
