Story
GabbyI have always been a one-person cat, content to spend all my time with this human. I am only comfortable when we are alone and naturally shy about meeting new people. I am a 6-year-old Siamese/Himalayan girl with a gorgeous chocolate and cream coat and big blue eyes. I have lived with my person all my life and am only here at the HSHC because I do not want to change my lifestyle. The rest of the family disagreed, so I checked in on August 29. Heaven knows I was very displeased when I arrived and did not want to engage in anything. I hid in my Kitty Kasa and pouted. Gradually, I began to sit outside my Kasa and look at people, and today, I allowed the interviewer lady (IL) to open my door without scurrying away. She whispered sweet nothings to me, let me sniff her hand, and did not force herself on me. I couldn't help but lean in for pets, let her scratch my ears and neck, and flip over so she could reach my chin. I was purring the whole time she touched me! I remembered how much I love cuddling! It also helped that she told me I am a beautiful kitty with angelic blue eyes. I must learn to be more flexible and give new people a chance. However, I believe I will only be successful if everyone in the home is 16 or older. The Adoption Staff can give you lots of information about how to bring me home and give me the training I need. I'd love to meet you if you are ready to handle a quirky, beautiful girl. 10-15-24

Story
Fig is a handsome, friendly guy. He is very affectionate and good with the other cat he lives with. He’s also pretty tolerant of the toddler! Fig likes excursions outside but he is primarily a house cat. Fig is well-behaved, except he does require a clean litter box! He also would probably be better off in a home without carpeting. He is currently in a foster home, so if you are interested, please complete an application so we can schedule a time for you to meet him. Has adoption fee is $75If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
