Story
Sammy Siamese is a sweet spunky, beautiful girl who loves to play, be brushed and have her chin scratched. She has lived mostly outdoors near the beach, but likes to come in the house when it's cold. She sleeps on our back deck in a cushioned chair and likes to explore our flower beds and ferns. At breakfast and dinner time she taps on our back door to let us know she is ready to eat! When indoors, she is happy to use the litter box, and very meticulous about grooming herself. She is gracious with other animals and not interested in conflict. Sammy's previous owner (our neighbor) passed away and she adopted us. We think she is about ten years old. She is in good health, had her shots last year and gets flea medication monthly. She can be shy with strangers, but very loving and playful once she gets to know you. Sammy is ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Rocket! Him and his sister Mantis are FULL of teenage goofiness. These siblings are a bundle of joy who love playing together all day long. When they eventually get tired, they seek the warmth of a human lap for some well-deserved cuddle time. One of the most adorable sights is Mantis making biscuits in her bed. These siblings came to the rescue a few months ago, initially appearing fragile, but with lots of love and care, they've made an incredible recovery. Now, they are ready to find a forever home where they can shower their new family with love and affection. As they are deeply bonded and have never been apart, they must be adopted together. Despite being FELV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus positive), these siblings don't let it slow them down. FELV weakens a cat's immune system, but it's not transmitted to humans or other non-feline pets. So, they are perfect for a household looking to adopt them exclusively or one that already has non-feline occupants. Of course, adopting an FELV+ cat requires an open and honest discussion with your veterinarian. They can provide personalized advice based on the cat's health and your household's dynamics. Being more prone to infections and illnesses, you should be prepared for potential health challenges and stay vigilant in monitoring their well-being. If you are looking for a delightful pair to brighten your home, these lovable FELV+ siblings are the purrfect addition to your family! ##1788079##

Story
Rusty originally came to us because he was dumped, in a carrier with a red Chistmas ball attached to it, at Pet Supermarket. He was discovered near closing time. He was adopted. A year later I got a frantic call from his adopted yelling that she spent $350 at a vet( that we did not recommend), she was done with him. I told her to meet me at my vet with him now. When I arrived, the entire staff was already upset with owner. Rusty was in a room and owner already signed paperwork to have him put down. He was given the 1st of 2 injections. Owner put him in my arms and left. Like left the building, left the parking lot. I looked into his eyes. I could not do this. I was in tears. He was not ready to leave. I called my rescue sisters for advise. Rusty had a urinary blockage. Owner had recently had him shaved. ( It was winter!!!) In some cats, intense, ongoing stress can cause physical issues. That was the case for Rusty. My rescue sisters and I were all in agreement, if our vet could reverse the 1st shot we'd do whatever it took to heal his body and heart. I never ran so fast to get one if the vet techs yo take Rusty in the back to the vet to begin healing him. He was in the hospital 3 days and reblocked. We took him back. I rang in the New Year with Rusty at Veterinary Emergency Center of East Volusia 2023. He has since been in a loving home but due to owner health issues he needs to find a new home. He is exceptionally loving and affectionate, has not had any health issues but is not fond of dogs.
